Excerpt: The Panasonic DMP-BD60K is a great, affordable, easy to use, multi-format BluRay Disk player. I have used this for over a year and I have no complaints so far. It plays almost everything I throw at it and play quality has been superb. The start-up is a little bit slower, but it runs through all the menus and functions seamlessly. I especially like the automated firmware update feature – it makes it a breeze.
Excerpt: This blu-ray player is simply spectacular. I had no problems "setting it up". I have it connected to a Sharp Aquos 52" HDTV that I purchased . It has a lot of features. Some of which I have not had an opportunity to use yet such as the Internet feature that gives you additional content.I would highly recommend this set to a friend or anyone for that matter. One of the nicest features is the "upconverting" that it performs with ordinary DVDs that you already own.
Excerpt: When we bought our Panasonic Viera HD Plasma tv, we wanted to buy a blu-ray player as well. This one, being the same brand, connected very easily and makes all the Viera cast features usable. The first time we watched a blu-ray on the player and tv it was nice and crisp. It makes movie watching at home so much more enjoyable!
Excerpt: this was my first blu ray player, and I was reaaly excited at the beginning ,but to be honest a bit disapponted later on. though I connected it to the internet ,it streams amazon videos, picasa & youtube but NOT netflix. well,it works ,but sometimes it feels a bit "picky" ,it didn't play some dvds so basicallyThe Panasonic DMP-BD60 is a good entry level Blu-ray player. It doesn't have fancy stuff like other players, and the price was ok.
Excerpt: Great Bluray player. I didn't buy this player to watch downloaded movies at 480 or 720, so a players ability to download VHS/DVD quality movies from various services is not what I want from a Bluray player. I like to watch my movies in HI DEF (1080i/1080p) otherwise I can use my $40 DVD player and be happy. Connect this bluray player to a HI DEF TV, good receiver, and decent 5.1 speakers and you won't care about watching movies at 480 and 720.

Excerpt: We bought our Panasonic Hi Def BD60 Blu-Ray player about two years ago thru QVC - which was fantastic because we got to use 5 easy pays to get this $230 gem into our home. I really though the whole Blu-Ray technology would be a lot of hype but I was SO wrong. You can play both Blu-Ray and regular DVD discs (and CD's), which is awesome because it makes the DVD's look way better than if you were to play them in a regular player.
Excerpt: This is an excellent Blu-ray player. For a relatively inexpensive player it has picture quality that is outstanding. This includes it's DVD upscaling ability. Using the PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus imaging technology the BD-60 produces lifelike, vivid colors. This Blu-ray Disc player also uses a high definition audio decoder (Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master) to take advantage of the high quality 7.1 channel surround sound now found in Blu-ray...
Summary: We finally broke down & got a BluRay player and don't think we could have gotten a better deal for the price. Not only are the BluRay movies AMAZING, so are our old DVD's. The picture quality is so crystal clear, I don't need my glasses. It came in less than a week. Keep up the EXCELLENT Customer service Overstock. We will continue to be a faithful customer.
Summary: With Blu-Ray gaining in popularity I decided to replace my current DVD player (It died after many years of service). I wanted a Blu-Ray player that would play new Blu-Ray discs as well as my current library of DVD discs and this player fit the bill. My only complaint is that 2 rented Blu-Ray NETFLIX disc stopped working part way through but I think this was the fault of the discs and not the player. The price and delivery were good.
