Summary: This machine seemed fine at first, in late 2008 when I got it. Lately it simply won't play certain discs (and these are discs that it had played before just fine). The disc just spins and makes a clicking sound, and the screen says that it's a bad disc.
Summary: I bought this unit for my sister 2 years ago. At the time we were thrilled with it, save for the non-wi-fi, but whatever. My sister told me that the unit no longer plays blurays, rendering her blu collection useless. I recently checked out the unit, hoping that I could fix it.
Worked fine for 4 years then won't play Blu Rays anymore

Summary: I just wanted to relay my concerns about this blu ray player and the direction the industry went that will end up costing me more money and I'm sure others as well. This blu ray player worked fine for me for 4 years and over that time my family and I built up a blu ray collection.
Avoid Panasonic - player will only last until warranty expires.

Summary: AVOID THIS PLAYER I have had this player for several years, with no problems. Recently connected it to the internet and updated the firmware. Now, a bluray movie it played flawlessly 2 days ago will not play, nor will any bluray disk. Standard DVDs play fine, but firmware has locked out all blurays.
Summary: I found out from customer service that the ZOOM feature DOESN'T WORK WITH VIEWING BLUE RAYS. They said it was only to do with recording. WHAT!!!! This should have been clear in the advertising, in giant letters. What good is a ZOOM if you can't enlarge 4x3, movies to fill the screen.
Summary: Not a good blueray player. 1. Wait time just for the disk drive to open is 30-40 secs. My cheap $40 dvd player opens instantly. 2. Load time for BD can be up to 5 mins, but on average is 3 mins. 3.
Summary: Bought this in 2008 after reading many glowing reviews. I have had this player for a year now and am very frustrated at its inability to play discs. It either won't read them when inserted or will freeze in mid-movie.
Summary: I went for this on the basis of the price, and wish I had gone for a Sony. I still have Sony stuff I bought 20 years back that works (a VCR, no less). But this stopped working 4 months after I got it. Avoid this.
Summary: Just picked this player up today to attempt to jump on the Blue-ray bandwagon, but so far I've been having nothing but problems. First let me start out with the good part. The Unit looks really good in my entertainment system, the manual was great, I even like the remote.
