Summary: Have had this unit for a few years now. It continues to work well, for dvd/blu ray discs, as well as streaming (no need for a roku box for Netflix). The remote is not difficult to learn - only had to refer to the manual once or twice. My only issue is that it can take a long time to connect to wireless, but once you do, it works well. Love the small size and functionality. Would recommend it to others.
Summary: Even the on off button on this player is a disaster. You don't press it you just touch it. And then nothing happens. So you touch it again. Then it suddenly starts turning on but since you touched it twice it immediately turns itself off. Repeat if necessary.
Summary: Very compact and easy to mount if using in an RV or installing in a custom application. Full featured and works as good as the full size units. Not a fan of the remote's touch pad. Means you can't use the blu ray player for CDs because without the TV on, you can't see the on screen remote display, so you don't know what virtual buttons you are pushing.
Summary: I bought this player for a couple reason's, first, the Viera link capabilities sounded intriguing since I have a Panasonic Viera TV. That has proven to be a pretty handy feature. Having the option to use any remote is pretty nice, especially if you can't find one. The second reason I got it was because I figured if I'm going to get a dedicated Blu-Ray player, I might as well get one with more features than a gaming console, you'd be surprised how many Blu-Ray players...
Summary: First the bad... 1) The UI is pretty bad. The on-screen menu system is a classic case of over design. Too many layers, too much fluff, and too slow to react. Basic functionality has been sacrificed for neat animation. Wasted engineering hours. 2) Far too many built in functions. This player has all kinds of apps and features that I will never use and which I suspect pretty much no-one uses. It's a blu-ray player, that's all I really want it to do. Is that so hard?
Summary: This BluRay Player meets all my expectations so far. It is soooo tiny its awesome. Fits under my kitchen cabinets perfectly and some people cant see it. Thats what I wanted. Stealth BluRay'in. lol The features and Apps are flawless. All seem to work better than my $1,500 Oppo BluRay Player in my living room. Amazing ! Don't know what others are talking about as far as the remote. Sure it takes some getting used to, but I had absolutely no problems navigating with it.
Summary: Small in stature and big on value. way better than the samsung I originally bought. the only complaint is that ther are is only one HDMI output. many people complain about the remote but I think it is very intuitve once you get used to the interface and great for surfing the net. great buy.
Summary: Bought this last October. Works pretty well, takes a while to get used to the trackpoint and the keys on/off. Gets ok if you take the time to figure it out, but it is NOT out of the box easy to do seamlessly. But be warned, when trying to access the internet last month ... it FORCED me to update the firmware. When it didn't complete correctly, the unit was useless ... wouldn't boot, couldn't finish firmware without getting to menu.
Summary: I upgraded from a 15-year old JVC DVD player to the Panasonic DMP-BBT01 Blu-Ray player, and WOW what a difference. I love the small footprint of the Panasonic DMP-BBT01 - it is about 1/4th the size and weight of my old player. The remote was easy to use once I became acclimated to the buttons and motion technology. I also downloaded a free smart phone app for this player which works quite well.
