    In conclusion, the Panasonic DMP-B15K provides a useful set of features in what could be considered just another portable movie player. With the ability to play standard as well as Blu-Ray movies on the go as well as at home, the Panasonic DMP-B15K may just be the device you are looking for. The only downside is its battery life which can easily be resolved with the use of AC power or the cigarette lighter plug when on the go. Read more

    Panasonic’s DMP-B15 is a slick unit. It’s nicely designed (although a bit chunky), plays beautifully and is an absolute joy to watch. While I loved it, I can’t ignore two big issues, battery life and cost. It’s clear this player is not for the mass market yet. It’s a niche product that is clearly meant for early adopters. If you have the cash you won’t be disappointed with the player,  although waiting a year could save you a whack of cash! Read more

    Available for a shade under £500 if you shop around online, it's a hefty price to pay for a Blu-ray player, but its adaptability makes it worth considering. It's picture quality, connection options and technology specs mean it passes muster as quality Blu-ray player, and the portability aspect offers more than just novelty value. Read more

    While the player itself is OK, the manufacturer never mentions that this device CAN'T PLAY 1080p HD content. When you connect it to the HDTV, the top output it gives you is 1024i which, in my humble opinion, unacceptable for the gadget that costs $700. What a shame! Read more or see product

The Panasonic DMP-B15 is a portable Blu-Ray player with a 8.9 inch WSVGA LCD swivel screen that allows the unit to stand on it’s own. It is HDTV capable via HDMI ouput, has an AV output to allow connectivity to a HD-Audio unit, SD memory card slot for viewing photos and video on a SD card. The unit allows access to selected entertaintment sites and streaming video service. It also has PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential. It has a rechargeable battery with up to 3 hours of usage time.

Features

The Panasonic DMP-B15 features a 8.9-inch WSVGA LCD screen and VIERA CAST™ internet accessibility with BD Live functionality. In addition to its use as a portable player, the consumer can connect it to an HDTV via HDMI cable, and use it as a standalone Blu-ray Disc player. The player can also be connected to an HD-Audio compatible AV receiver with a home theater speaker system for surround sound. The DMP-B15 also features an optional headrest mounting bracket for in-car use. Other features are an SD Memory Card slot that allows the consumer to view and share digital photos, as well as HD video recorded on a SD card, VIERA CAST functionality allowsing access to select entertainment sites, including Amazon Video-on-Demand, a streaming video service that gives the consumer access to more than 40,000 titles; YouTube™; Google Picasa Web Album; Bloomberg and a weather channel, DTS-HD Master Audio Essential, and PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus image-processing technology that processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the vertical direction to reproduce color data with twice the accuracy of conventional systems.
