Panasonic’s DMP-B15 is a slick unit. It’s nicely designed (although a bit chunky), plays beautifully and is an absolute joy to watch. While I loved it, I can’t ignore two big issues, battery life and cost. It’s clear this player is not for the mass market yet. It’s a niche product that is clearly meant for early adopters. If you have the cash you won’t be disappointed with the player, although waiting a year could save you a whack of cash! Read more

While the player itself is OK, the manufacturer never mentions that this device CAN'T PLAY 1080p HD content. When you connect it to the HDTV, the top output it gives you is 1024i which, in my humble opinion, unacceptable for the gadget that costs $700. What a shame! Read more or see product

The Panasonic DMP-B15 features a 8.9-inch WSVGA LCD screen and VIERA CAST™ internet accessibility with BD Live functionality. In addition to its use as a portable player, the consumer can connect it to an HDTV via HDMI cable, and use it as a standalone Blu-ray Disc player. The player can also be connected to an HD-Audio compatible AV receiver with a home theater speaker system for surround sound.
