Summary: I bought this product 3 years ago in December 2009. I finally just upgraded to a new Sony blu ray player that streams Netflix, Amazon, etc. I am not getting rid of this unit, however. I've never had a problem with playing standard or blu ray discs in this player.
Summary: I can't say that "I like it" (4 stars) or "I love it" (5 stars) but this made in China Blu-ray player met my expectations which explains the solid 3 stars, meaning "It's Okay". NOTE: I bought mine 'refurbished' for half the price.
Summary: Haven't been able to get it to play blu ray discs. It has a beautiful picture on regular DVDs, but never worked with blu ray. I googled and found that I probably needed to upgrade the firmware in order to get it to play blu ray discs.
Summary: Alrightt I bought this at Walmart way back in 2009 or 2010 I really can't remember. I bought this for my bedroom and have used it a lot and I mean a lot. And now it's 2014 and this player works. It as never once gave out on me or stopped working.
Summary: This player works okay. Picture quality is good. The one problem I had with this blu-ray player is after two months the remote no longer worked as I had to order another one. Currently works fine.
Summary: Great price for the player, but the control to box is very slow to react and you have to be exactly in a direct line to the signal from the remote to the box or it doesn't work at all. Will probably buy a better quality one in the future. ;)
Summary: Purchased this unit about 8 months ago at Walmart's. A month ago I noticed the DVD drawer started to progressively slow down in opening and closing. I don't have a large library of blu-ray dvds so it couldn't be from excessive usage.
Summary: Yes, this player was very cheap at the time I purchased it. It was $78.00 new. In my opinion, it would have been worth putting up 20 or 30 dollars more and getting one that has an ethernet port, and one that has better compatibility for playback of DVD +/- R and RW.
