Summary: This product was marketed on the basis that it has access to a wide range of Netcast features from the internet. In reality this unit only has access to YouTube, Picassa and AccuWeather. There is no access to anything useful and in particular BBC iplayer is not incuded. Initially the Blu-Ray and DVD playback seemed fine.
Summary: I bought this item along with an LG 3D capable TV. Having first examined the LG range, and - in particular - what online options they offered with their NetCast functionality, I decided to buy a fairly basic TV, without NetCast, but add a Blu-Ray player with NetCast. Thus I could get all the online goodies via the Blu-Ray player. Big mistake.
Ok but i think the sony model is better if you want to stream tv

Summary: If your buying this for internet streaming, think again. I think there's quite a lot of reviews on this, mostly showing 4-5 stars. I was given this as a present, and I thought it was quite cool at first however I rarely use it for the reasons it was bought for. I don't download movies, or anything like that. I buy DVD's/Blu-Rays and prefer to watch them as-is. The player has played everything I've thrown at it, which has been fine.
Summary: The quality of DVD's played on this are great. If you have windows 7 on your computer and have suffered from the security features of it buy this with confidence as it connected to my computer with the built in WiFi with no problems at all. Now I can stream direct from either my computer or the internet and it works 1st time!! Am waiting to see a blu-ray film on this as I think the results will be great.
Summary: I was very happy with this player but can't give it 5 stars because I only tried a limited range of its features. It's certainly backwards compatible - great picture playing a DVD. There was no distracting noise. It also played movies from my external hard-drive, & picked up You-tube & the weather from the internet. I returned it because I also wanted to access BBCIplayer and the LG forum didn't look encouraging.
