Summary: This was my worst error, buying refurbished, I always buy LG and LOVE their products, but who every is doing the refurbishing is terrible, I am on my *2nd* return and first is came broken in half then the next one came worked until I put in a DVD, where I get a loud sound from the player. I wont say I hate it or go give it 1 star because I love LG and a 2nd return is in progress. wish me luck!
Summary: [EDITED April 2013. They just pushed a new Netflix "app" and it's absolutely terrible. I wish Amazon would allow me to subtract stars when editing. These LG guys are wasting my precious time like it's candy. Forced automatic updates, too, nothing you can do when they have a bad idea] This is a device with a lot of functionality. It is very difficult to decide whether to praise it for being so rich in different things it can do or bash it for doing them incompletely.
Summary: LG is making their Blu-ray players cheaper these days. I have owned LG BD590 and 690 as well as BP670. The LG website leads you to believe that Amazon is responsible for not letting LG stream Amazon Prime instant movies. I contacted Amazon and it seems that LG Manufactured the 2011 models compatable with Amazon's software and they Manufactured the 2012 models incompatable with the Amazon's software. So It is LG's fault that there is no Amazon Icon on the LG BP620.
Summary: I bought this blu-ray player to replace my broken Playstation 3. I did some research and this product had a reasonable rating for the price. It had all the features I was seeking. This was my first purchase from LG and I was surprised at how cheap the unit looked and felt when I first opened the box. The buttons on the unit seemed more elementary than the buttons on many of my children's "fake" electronic toys. The picture and sound quality were very good.
Summary: Blu-Ray player was sent back as defective. When I worked, it worked fine but when I had turned it off and turned in back on, it worldn't start unless I went behind the tv to unplug and replug the unit. Then most of the time it would work OK until he next time I truned it off.
Summary: Nice looking player. Plays disks well. Easy setup. Includes a HDMI cable. This player will not stream Amazon video on demand. Amazon streaming was a main reason to select this model. The LG website is not accurate. LG customer service says Amazon video streaming was REMOVED from all Blu-Ray players. So, it's going back for a refund. Planning to buy Sony to replace this.
Summary: It looks like huge step back in comparison with the last year model BD670. I installed the latest firmware and here is the first impression. 1. Unlike BD670 that can access shared drives (NAS), BP620 can only see DLNA server 2. Very few video formats are supported. I've a few mkv files and it cannot play any that I've. Actually LG web site claims that it can. It cannot play DivX. At least in either case I didn't find any one that it can play.
Crap warranty (defective); otherwise ok product, roku streaming is better

Summary: I've had this player for about 9 months, and it has some issues with staying on when I turn it on. Usually it's only been one or two times before it stays on but lately it's been getting more and more. Today I tried about 8 times and it still won't stay on. My outlet works fine and there are no visible marks on the cord.
Summary: I bought this thing because it seemed capable of reading the most video file formats of all the units investigated - and it really does. Now, when I burn a DVD for a family member, I don't have to take the trouble to create a DVD Video formatted disc: I can just copy a .MPG or MP4 or whatever format file to a DVD. Having said that.... The remote on this thing is maddening. It does not even have an Eject button. The worst part, though, is that it has no fast forward.
Summary: I can not believe that this higher-end LG does not support Amazon Instant Video, but there it is. Cord cutters like us will do better elsewhere if AIV is important. What a shame. I took it back right away.
