Have to manually enter WiFi modem code

DustyM, Amazon
6 May 2013
  • Summary: Whenever the player is turned off and then back on you have to apparently re-enter the WiFi password (which is extremely long) every time you want access the internet. Not very user friendly.

Good price, Product exchanged, poor customer service

Yan Gao, Amazon
1 January 2013
  • Summary: Price - 5 star with this many features. Quality - 4 star. The unit was ok so far. Play most blu ray and DVD. Update software but still can not play some blu ray discs. It could. be some older blu ray formats it does not support. Support blu ray, 3D, DVD, and data, and wireless, very impressive. I don't agree with some complaints about No output other than HDMI. The only way 3D works is through HDMI. Thus, there is no point using any other video/audio output.

SO SO

Jeffery L. Mack "JMack", Amazon
29 December 2012
  • Summary: Wireless connection worked for one day then had to send it back to LG to be fixed. Everything is working now but I a a little disappointed that it only has a few things loaded to connect to and no way to add others, so adding redbox or hulu is not going to happen. Had problems with the sound on movies until the software was upgraded. It is ok if you have netflix, but they should of made it more configurable for adding features.

plays and works great - if you're after extra features like Netflix or ...

Tech-guy, Amazon
4 November 2014
  • Summary: Very basic Blu ray player, no App Store - No access to Iplayer or Netflix. If you're after a no thrills Blu ray player then it's ok, plays and works great - if you're after extra features like Netflix or Iplayer/ an App Store then you can get same priced players now with these functions included elsewhere (asda/Tesco to name a few).

Small and neat but with a networking flaw

The Coffee Guru "Campaign for Real Coffee", Amazon
14 August 2014
  • Summary: A great little player. my only gripe with this is that even though its on the net for blu-ray, it does not have the capability of seeing anything on an attached server. it plays all the MKV AVI MP3 JPG etc but only if you put them on an external USB HD and plug that in. I think its a major flaw personally but hey it works and due to the size its also portable, if that your thing.

Ok but !!!

Buck R, Amazon
6 May 2014
  • Summary: This player is listed in the Amazon compatible device list as working with prime instant video. The main reason I purchased it !! IT DOES NOT !! Like most of the major electronics devices it will not work with prime video. (Android etc). It also has only 3 rubbish network apps without the ability to install more. The player is quite good for discs and indeed USB devices but there are better cheaper ones out there for this.

Good for what it does

I Reed, Amazon
17 March 2014
  • Summary: Lacking some of 'smart features' present in its bigger brothers, such as Netflix and iPlayer but as a second machine plays USB files and 3d Blurays at a decent price.

  • Excerpt: Don't be lead on by the 'Smart' feature suggested in the name of the product. No iPlayer, ITV player or Netflix basically there are no usual Smart features, instead it has something called 'LG Smart TV' which has hardly anything useful.
