Summary: Absolute garbage. Both the player and LG's customer service. It worked fine for a couple months and then would not read any disc we tried to play. It just always comes up as "no disc". Called LG's customer service and they told me the lens was just dirty, so get a cleaning kit and that should fix it. So, I spent $20 on a cleaning kit and it still doesn't work. Called LG back up and asked what to do next.
Wifi doesn't work well, keep getting annoying icon popping up on screen
4 weeks ago
Summary: The wifi on my unit doesn't work half the time. Unfortunately, they don't have a way to turn it off. So when I'm watching a disc (which needs no wifi connection) I get this annoying world icon popping up every few seconds on the screen. This is extremely annoying, especially if I'm watching a 3D movie.
Summary: This player worked great until we had to do a software upgrade to play a newer Disney movie. Since then, it skips or there are portions of a movie you cannot hear. Every time we turn it on we have to do a software upgrade if there are any hopes that it will work properly.
Summary: **ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT** I'm usually pet peeve'n about manufacturer warranty but I missed the fine print on this unit. 1 year warranty on parts but only 90 day warranty on labor. Called tech support a couple times to troubleshoot the unit but they want me to send it in - $69 for the labor!!!
Pros: Did what I wanted it to - play Netflix and Blurays
Cons: Worked for about 4 months and crashed. Unit turns on but gets stuck on the LG logo screen. Won't go to the home screen or autoplay any disc.
Summary: I tried to plan a DVD and the movie played just fine but the audio skipped. When I played the same DVD on an identical LG blu ray player, it played correctly, so I returned the player and will buy a different brand.
Summary: Go ahead and spend your money if you only care about DVD play back. Apps are worthless (Netflix, vudu, YouTube and pi casa??). You only get 4. Netflix app never seems to remember my login information. Bravo LG you reached new lows with this product and nice for you to give the competition a boost!
Summary: Bought this model (BP325W) at walmart for 38$ in novemeber of 2012 and it worked for only a couple months.. i had downloaded the updated software and after that IT DID NOT WORK.. i wont be trying LG BLU RAY PLAYERS again. Time to try something new... oh and one more thing.. contacted LG about the problem.. they said they would refund the money.. i didnt want the money.. i wanted the product.. which is why i wont be buying LG again..
Summary: I got this little Blue Ray Player because it had everything I wanted. Initial setup was very easy to do. The first 3 days no problem. Day 4 I go to use it and it will not pick up my WI/FI. After going thru every possible setting I could I called LG. The rep on the phone basically did everything I already told her I did already but it was like I was not talking. At the end she tells me she had nothing else to try and that they will get back to me in 24 to 48 hours.
