Worked OK until it didn't...

  • Summary: I've had this for about a year and a half. Until recently it worked well and I had no serious complaints. Several months ago I started having problems with it. It would start skipping frames. On anther Blue-ray disk, it would give me a blank screen after playing the opening of the movie. Both disks played fine on another player. I updated the software, hoping that would solve the problem. No such luck. This unit was not heavily used.

LG, take the power cord for this lil beauty and plug it ......

  • Summary: Unfortunately, I bought this thing before there were very many reviews (I mean warnings) posted. About half the time when I simply want to play a blu ray disc or a dvd (fairly basic requirement) the unit completely locks up--- I mean totally, without an ounce of pity locked up. Nothing works. And nothing brings it back to life other than unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in.

Avoid!

A. Doty, Amazon

  • Summary: Quick review; this player sucks, don't buy it. Longer take; Seriously, avoid this blu-ray player When it works, it works fine. Unfortunately, there appears to be ~50% chance that the player simply locks up when trying to play a movie. And when it locks up it locks completely up with even the power button becoming unresponsive. The only thing to do is unplug the unit.
