Was Happy

Dennis S., Newegg
12 April 2014
  • Summary: Don't really know if it's the brand or model, but it was only used for 3d movies. PS3 for all other blu-ray's. I do give LG a 5 star rating for customer support for fixing this product not under warranty by 2 years free of charge. Took me 5 minutes on the phone and 8 days later.
  • Pros: Lots of features
  • Cons: Drive died after 30 movies and 2 years of ownership. Not like it was worn out.

Did not even last a year

Kindle Customer, Amazon
1 September 2013
  • Summary: Had to call the company at least once a week for tech support. The CSR was always very polite. We would do soft resets, hard resets and reboots. All of which would work for a few days. Then we would repeat the process all over again. I was told to return the product for repair/replacement.

My Best Electronic Purchase Ever

Karl S., Newegg
12 July 2013
  • Summary: It also connects to my network via WiFi which allows me to search my music, picture and clips libraries Did I mention I can also watch NETFLICK/ YOUTUBE and other online services from it
  • Pros: Simply Amazing…for some reason (which I will not get into here) I always have lots of movies on my hard Drive which did not want to burn to disc to watch because it simple takes too much time to convert them. With this devise I just hook up the hard drive to it and watch all my movies straight… b...
  • Cons: maybe a better remote to search the net

Well, well...

Michael, Amazon
4 February 2013
  • Summary: I bought this player, despite the myriad warnings of others about the imminent failure, characterised by the whining of the disk drive and its failure to play discs. Well, it happened to me after less than 3 months... with VERY little use!

Great Media Player

Kristen P., Newegg
10 December 2012
  • Summary: It's a great little media player if you had videos on the network, but I would recommend another brand if you are looking for network based remote control.
  • Pros: Great media player for network. Not many formats that are not supported.
  • Cons: I like to keep my electronics stowed away in a closet and the android app has been neglected. Never updated.

LG BD670 - The last LG product I will buy for the rest of my life

Gambit83, Amazon
28 October 2012
  • Summary: I bought the LG BD670 about 10 months ago and have had problems with it off and on since I bought it. It played Blu-ray great when it worked. The wireless network connection continously has to be reset. This was resolved temporarily, but seems to be broken again.

Not Particulary Fond Of This Unit

D R., Newegg
5 August 2012
  • Summary: This is my first BD player
  • Pros: * I guess I can say wireless although I don't do wireless at home * I guess I can say 3D but I don't do that at home either * USB to play external media storage * Netflix, MOG, Pandora * 1 Free VUDU movie
  • Cons: Burned out when I connected it to my new Denon 2112Ci, got a replacement and it also burned out. Both played connected directly to HDTV twice or more a week it shuts down unexpectedly, sometimes freezes and needs to be unplugged to get it to work again. Regularly Lags aside from it's regular slow...

Much lower quality then Expected

David C., Newegg
12 May 2012
  • Summary: Name, having many other LG devices I expected much much more quality and didn't even get what you expect from a $50 brand X unit. Horrible unit.
  • Pros: 3D... Wifi
  • Cons: "Very glitchy, disk read errors, and painfully slow load times on everything. To get Blurays to load I would need to open the tray and re-close it. All around frustrating." - Agree'd Also units bur themselves out after 90 days to get you to pay a $60 repair fee. LG designed the firmware system, i...

It's a time machine

Mavis, Amazon
9 April 2012
  • Summary: I've had this junk for about 6 months and its' like the old DOS computers. You solve problems by turning it off, praying and turning it back on. I've been ignoring the "latest and greatest" update for some days - yes I'm afraid of it.

not worth the money, don't buy.

John K., Newegg
7 April 2012
  • Summary: for a supposedly top-o-the-line bluray player it is awful. After a month I returned it and get a newer BD620 not perfect but MUCH better and yes it did have the most current firmware installed
  • Pros: 3D, Wifi and apps (Pandora and Netflix and so on.....)
  • Cons: Very glitchy, disk read errors, and painfully slow load times on everything. To get Blurays to load I would need to open the tray and re-close it. All around frustrating.
