Summary: I have had this player for about 2 years, and at the same as this I bought a fancy Panasonic. Well, I am much more satisfied with this LG. So far it has played movies in all formats incl. DVDs bought overseas (Eastern Europe). It can play movies and slide shows from SD cards, jump drives of sorts. As for quality, I am completely satisfied with it. Reliablity - no issues for 2 years so far.
Summary: I don't watch a lot of movies - at least not with physical media - so I haven't spent a lot of time using this thing. The problem is that, in the off chance that I do want to use it, it's really rather a tossup as to whether it will recognize a disk or not. The worst part is this has been a problem since the beginning, but I didn't think to return it, expecting it to be the single disk I was trying to watch instead.
Summary: The LG blu-ray player is simple and easy to operate. It loads quickly and plays beautifully. It's perfect for simply playing discs. The packaging was a bit scary because it was shipped in the product's box... no outer shipping box, but it worked well on first try.
Summary: I was pleased at how quickly I was able to receive my product but, I only ordered the Blu Ray 3 weeks ago and this morning when I went to go use it, it tells me that theres an "error" and it won't read my disc!!! I am overly pissed off and now will have to call the company that I got the DVD player from and LG as well. I only ordered it 3 weeks ago and how is it already broken!?!?!
Summary: I didn't realize that I would be able to afford a blu-ray player till I was forced to look for one. Apparently some movies will only be coming out in blu-ray soon so if I wanted to see them, I needed a blu-ray player. It has proven to be an excellent product, with only one glitch. Just yesterday the player got "stuck" on reverse and would respond to neither the remote nor the box itself.
Good blue-ray, nice images HD and it's cheaper that other brands of blue-ray

Summary: I really like this blue-ray, there is very good quality like other expensive brands of blue-ray. The only thing I could criticize is that I believe that the product should bring their own HD cable, forgetting this, perfectly I recommend this product.
Summary: I spent more than 6 months looking for a no-frills Blu-ray player for the right price, and this is it. The LG BD611 does everything it's supposed to. It takes less than 10 minutes to set up, no more than 15 seconds to boot, and less than that to begin a movie. It plays Blu-rays and upconverts DVDs with finesse, resumes video wherever you left it, supports USB playback of H.264/MPEG-4, DIVX, AVCHD video, WMA, MP3 audio, and PNG, JPEG photos. Want apps?
Summary: According to reviews, this is either very very good or a failure. Alas, mine was a failure. It played the first 2 Netflix Blu Ray movies OK, but on the 3rd it went dead midway. By unplugging and rebooting it would start up again, only to fail at some other point on the disc. Maybe I should have tried a few more discs before throwing in the towel, but the 30 day window was closing and I don't want to get stuck with it. Besides, it really has a pretty loud disc drive.
Summary: Opened this out of the box, plugged it in, wouldn't turn on. After a couple minutes, it magically turns on, then works great for two days. Day three, it won't turn on again... for anything! Also have a DISC stuck in it. VERY happy with our LG TV, but this Blu-Ray player is garbage.
