Outstanding Features at Great Price

SH848, Amazon

  • Summary: This is my first venture into Blu-Ray but I did not jump right into the purchase. After months of researching I decided this one best fit my needs. It was so easy to set up (I have it hooked up to a LG55LH90 HDTV) as it pulls the television over to it when the Blu-Ray is turned on.

Great blu ray player. Love it.

Vincent Laratta, Amazon

  • Summary: I was torn between the Samsung bd-c6500 and this LG player. I chose the samsung because I have had pretty good success in the past with Samsung ---terrible mistake. The samsung would not stay connected to my network---and I had just bought a brand new Netgear router-their latest model.

Working DLNA

Dhabud "dhabud", Amazon

  • Summary: I own Sony BDP-570 and LG BD570. I found them both equally good in terms of load time, picture quality, upscaling. They both have online streaming support that most people care about like netflix, pandora, vudu. Sony has more choice for online streaming such as NPR videos and Quriosity.

Very Impressed - Plays mkv and avi video files too

Sanjay R "Sanjay", Amazon

  • Summary: LG BD570 has been by far the best player I've ever owned. Very impressed. It plays the movies off YouTube and some other tv programs for FREE. So even if I do not have any paid subscription, I still have lots of programs to watch. I am glad I bought it. Last year, it was around $300.

Fantastic product, fantastic price.

D. Schmidt, Amazon
25 November 2010
  • Summary: I had planned on purchasing a PS3, but couldn't justify spending double what the BD570 cost. After doing much research, I decided to take a chance on the LG and have been quite satisfied. Setup was really easy. I had the quick start guide in my hand, but found that I really didn't need it.

  • Summary: I'm just a casual consumer, so I'm not knowledgeable about the technical specifics of this device, but it does exactly what I want it to and I'm very satisfied with it. I purchased this unit in August to go with my LG HDTV.

Good Media PC Alternative - IT can browse my network!

Andrew A. Russell, Amazon
9 November 2010
  • Summary: Ditto to all the good things others have said. I want to add some additional notes about the Internet and Network abilities. I have PC's hooked up to almost every TV in my house, and I frequently play .MPG, .AVI and .MKV files.

Outstanding All-Around Blu-ray Player

Citizen John, Amazon
16 October 2010
  • Summary: The first main thing is that this DVD player has great picture quality, as one would expect from LG. If you haven't used a DVD to view online streaming video such as Netflix, as I hadn't, you'll see this DVD player makes it super-easy.
