Summary: I've had this Blu-ray player for about 10 months now, and in that time I had to update the software3 or 4 times, and am waiting for another update so I can watch a standard DVD copy of Transformers. At this time when I put this disk in the player (it's only this movie, every copy of it I tried acts the same), the player turns itself off. I'm not sure what the other updates have done for me, but until this one I would have said the player operated flawlessly.
Summary: At some point, one of the DVD's got stuck in the player and would not come out. I had to take the player apart to remove the disc and found a sticky substance on the top of the disk. Don't know how it got there. I had to clean the disk and the part that suctions to the top of the disk. It did it twice more to clean DVDs and now seems to be better after I've cleaned the player and DVD's. Frustrating but not sure I can blame it on the player.
Summary: I purchased this Blu-Ray player to compliment my new LG LED T.V. It gets the job done by playing Blu-Ray movies in stunning quality. However, my main issues are: 1) The processing speeds are very slow. 2) The interface is cumbersome and pails in comparison to the interface on my T.V., especially when it comes to controlling Netcast. 3) It does not automatically start your disc where you left off when you hit "Stop." It reloads from the very beginning.
Summary: I bought this blu-ray player when I first got an HD-TV and I have to say I am fairly pleased with it. It seems the updates at times are a little slow and every now and then a disc takes a little longer to load but it plays blu-rays with high quality audio and video. It's pretty easy to use and the internet features are great.
Summary: I bought this DVD player especially for streaming from my Mac. The included software is Windoze only. I cannot find software to access the BD570 from my mac. The interface is clunky. The remote is horrendous. The Up Arrow and Music ID buttons are so close together pressing the right one is a 50/50 chance. Same for the Down Arrow and Title Popup. As a straight DVD player it works fine, but I already had one. Streaming was my motive for buying.

Summary: Picture and sound reproduction quality is excellent, alot of extra features if you want or like that stuff. DVD up-conversion is good to excellent. Load times are adequate to good, menus are a bit clunky and slow however. The big issues...1080P mode causes bad problems on my unit. Ive read several other posts with similar issues. On any source that is not a blu ray movie, 1080P mode will cause a violent flicker, where 1080i will not.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
Good player, but Amazon's description is incorrect.

Summary: My main reason for this review is to point out a couple of misleading errors in Amazon's Product Description for this player. First, the BD570 does NOT have 1GB of onboard memory. It has none. You'll need a USB memory stick if you want BD-Live. Second, it does NOT have 7.1ch analog output. These are two pretty big selling points for some, so hopefully this review will help others make an informed purchase decision.
Great Blu-Ray, lousy streaming...Whoops! read edit!

Summary: Few complaints about it as a BD player (lacks a subtitle button on the remote) but my $100 Roku-HD does far better wireless streaming. So skip the wireless streaming feature your LG Blu-Ray and buy the Roku with the savings. The BD570 set up to stream easily but the Netflix A/V stream glitched roughly every 45 seconds (the video and/or audio would stop for 1-3 seconds). Not exactly a home theater enhancement. I switched to Roku and the problem was gone.
Summary: I read the good reviews, and based on that ordered this product. First let me say the DVD upscaling picture is fantastic. The product interface is well laid out and easy to use. I really, really wanted to keep the player, but could not get wireless networking to work as advertised, and this was the primary feature I bought the product for.
