Netflix is terribly slow and it freezes constantly
1 November 2013
Summary: Awful! Half the time it tells me I am not connected to the internet and wont load Netflix. But I AM connected to the internet. When it does decide to load Netflix it takes FOREVER! It just sits there and loads. The Playstation zooms through Netflix but not this dvd player. Then, it freezes while watching DVDs and I have to unplug it and plug it back in just to get it to work. Its less than 2 years old and works like crap. Save your money and dont buy LG dvd players!!!
In my opinion - this product line is intended for quick obsolescence

Summary: No firmware update would take, whether through wired, wireless, USB, DVD, or CD. With this product line, any new blu-ray movie may suddenly reveal your lack of control in the legitimate purchases you make.
Summary: With very little usage this unit lasted less than one year. Continuous no disc error. Contacted what is laughingly called customer service and got somebody who was very adept at murdering the English language but useless in solving the problem. Updated software--nope. Prayed to Shiva and Vishnu according to customer service instructions--nope. Could not get machine to work, and genius at customer service told me the unit was defective.
Summary: Pay a little extra and get a model with a built in wifi. This model has a wifi dongle that plugs in to the only USB port and within a matter of months it wouldn't keep a connection (we left it plugged in). Serious design flaw in my opinion.
Summary: Compared to some cheaper dvd players this might be deemed okay. But for what I paid for it, and the fact that it was an LG product, it was a major disappointment. Some of its flaws; It seems to have a mind of its own. Maybe too many bells and whistles for the quality, but it tends to do things like randomly reset my wireless setting to wired, even though I have the dongle in and my wifi is working, and I have to go in and change the setting again.
Summary: This product looks really good an appears to be a nice, sturdy piece of electronic equipment. However, it just never worked right. Many disks it just didn't seem to want to play, the controls were sluggish, and it just generally didn't respond well. After less than a year, it stopped working completely. I hunted around for the service manual and finally found a number to call. The wait time was brutally long.
Summary: This player failed after 6 weeks. Amazon only warrants for 30 days. Lg will not refund or replace the machine. I had to send in for repair. Parts warrantied but not labor. When the machine was returned it still did not work and I was told by Lg to return for repair again. I do not recommend Lg. The product does not work and Lg refuses to replace it or refund your money. The Lg player is a very poor product and Lg does not stand behind their players.
Summary: I couldn't possibly hate this product more if it called me names every time I turned it on. The only redeeming feature of this blueray player is that it's light-weight. >.) The remote feels cheap. >.) The player doesn't register input from the remote unless the remote is pointed [directly] at it. >.) The virtual keyboard is cumbersome to navigate, and very slow and erratic in responding. >.
