Summary: I can't believe i went with LG. Like so many others here I was quite happy at first. I loved the Netflix streaming, youtube, DIVX, and Bluray movies. However it's now just under 4 months and it no longer plays DVD's and rarely plays Bluray movies. It started with just DVD's unable to play and freezing allot at the end of Bluray movies. Now it's gone completely down. I should have went with Samsung.
Summary: Update 9/21/11 I didn't realize that I had such a glowing review of this player on Amazon. Well, sometime after my original review a firmware update from LG killed the DVD and CD player capabilities turning this unit into a BlueRay only device and a major disappointment considering what I paid for it. All evidence is that LG released a firmware update some time back that broke/disabled the DVD and CD capabilities of the device when it introduced the Youtube feature.
Summary: I was going to purchase one of these units, saw it advertised in Rolling Stone and thought "YEAH!", I can finally bring streaming Netflix to my main HDTV! Then I got on here and read your reviews. How the heck could they build the perfect unit and FORGET to include Wi-Fi??? This seems like a HUGE oversight to me, and but the HALT on my purchase immediately. Major bummer. I know you can add a wi-fi bridge, but there goes another $75 smakeroo's. DUH!
No Internal Memory!! Avoid if you want to utilize BD Live or other downloadable features...

Summary: . The player itself is awesome, as it is really easy to setup and it has a great picture; thou the disc load time is a little long as with all Blu-ray players. . But the major flaw is that the player itself has very minimal internal memory, according to LG's customer service it is barely enough to stream Netflix and from my experience this is only when your internet connection is fast and flawless.
