Summary: The subtitles turn themselves on anytime you fast-forward or pause the movie. Several keystrokes are required to disable the subtitles. However, touch the fast-forward or pause buttons again, subtitles pop up again. Avoid Insignia.
Summary: Newer Fox movies will not play, needs firmware update, but Insignia does not support this player anymore ... so dead, useless. last time I bought at Best Buy and a off brand you get what you pay for ... lesson learned
Summary: So this was a good purchase 2 1/2 years ago, but now when I get a Blu-disc that was made in 2013 a message comes up saying that my player needs an update to play this disc. Well Insignia has stopped all updates to this device.
Summary: So the movie studios have decided to change their anti-piracy encoding again and time to hope your player gets an update. Not if you own this model. On their customer forum they have informed their customers that they will not be supporting this player with an update.
Summary: I got this item in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, it worked only for one night. Now it is just a streamer and music player. I am so disappointed. However, Amazon did refund my money but I am still without a blu-ray like I have wanted for a long while.
