Summary: Three years ago we purchased an Insignia Blu Ray player. Now it is outdated and will not play new Blu Rays . We called Insignia regarding this, and they said tough luck. One manager went as far as you say the customer is always wrong and perhaps we should have purchased Sony.

Summary: This player worked for the first month I had it. It never was able to connect to the internet wirelessly. I have had if for 2 years now and it is now a blue ray player that won't play blue ray discs. It will play music CDs and usually will play DVDs but It will not read a blue ray disc.
Summary: I did not purchase this item on Amazon, but I used the reviews on Amazon to make my purchasing decision. I feel it necessary to correct one glaring inaccuracy I found with another review, however. THIS MODEL OF BLU-RAY PLAYER DOES NOT PLAY NETFLIX OR ANY OTHER STREAMING CONTENT!
Summary: I bought this product upon Consumer Reports recommdation. It was a real disappointment. It takes several minutes for the drawer to open and the disk to load. The quality of the picture and sound were great- espcially for the price, However we have had it a little over a year before it stopped...
This product is horribly flawed for netflix playback!

Summary: I bought this player thinking it would be a great bluray/netflix combo. Well guess what, I have a wireless n network in close proximity, and this player has had nothing but problems connecting to netflix since I got it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Had two of these and wanted to throw both out the window...

Summary: Both of the ones we had suddenly stopped playing the DVD's we had always successfully played on it in the past. Blu ray's didn't work, DVD's didn't work. We had the same problem with both, they each only lasted a few months. What a crock!
Summary: After fooling with a Samsung BD-P1600 for literally a week trying to get the wi-fi to work, I took it back and got this Insignia for a little less. And within 2 minutes of getting it out of the box I had it hooked up to my TV via HDMI and my internet via wi-fi and was streaming a movie from Netflix.
Summary: The main reasons I hate, yes hate, this blu-ray player. 1) The remote is terrible. The buttons don't work unless you mash down on them with a lot of force, and even then sometimes they don't work. Get a universal remote, you say?
Summary: I bought this item as a christmas gift for my mother who is very hard to please, she loved it!! excellent quality, very fast shipping. I ordered a used item and received one that was basically brand new. VERY PLEASED!!
