Summary: I've been a long time Denon fan, but unfortunately, the DBT-1713UD shows that Denon is a mere shadow of its former self. I first purchased this unit as a refurb, and it was a dud right out of the box. Ok, it happens, right?
Summary: I just received my new Denon DBT-1713. My first impressions after opening up the box was a solid and sturdy piece of equipment. The unit is rather large but blends very well with my new Denon AVR-X5200W. Set up was a breeze and running the Firmware update immediately is a must!
Summary: Bought this through another seller locally as a replacement for my Denon 2500BTCI which has served me well for the last 4 years. The 1713UD is a fantastic replacement thus far after about 4 months of use. I like the fact that it has a network connection for streaming and real-time firmware updates.

Summary: No component video output. Cannot play audio data files (e.g., MP3) unless connected to a video monitor. No headphone jack. Lacks basic audio controls (e.g., shuffle) on device. Fails as a standalone audio component. Device is essentially dependent on HDMI video connection and remote control.
