Cool design and great performance..
26 April 2014
Summary: Great quality of sound (Audio CD) and video (Blu-ray and DVD).. all in one.. Love design and blue display looks really cool.. Only complain is about design of the remote control ..all buttons are similar and without being grouped or perhaps in different shape..
Summary: I have been looking for a high quality universal player for sometime. I stumbled across this on Amazon really by mistake. I am familiar with Cambridge Audio products as I used to own an audio store from 1986-1994 before the customer base got younger and could care less about the sound.
Summary: I was very pleased with the video and audio quality of this player. I have a 2CH NAD 712 amp as my main component as well as a DAC Magic. I tried the analog audio outs of the player as well as the digital outs to the DAC Magic.
Summary: The Azur has excellent looks, great fit and finish and quality feel. But the best is the great sound, strong bass and high versatility. A must have in a world of countless disc formats. Great for audiophilles and those who don't want many appliances stucking your liveng room.
Summary: This is truly one of the best products I ever bought. It has everything you need if you like movies an good music. It plays all the known formats and has a pass-thru option that is a must. I'm very pleased with the performance of this item.
Summary: Besides this, I own the Cambridge Audio 840-E pre-amplifier which is a top notch performer. Based on this, I recently purchased the Azur 650BD as a replacement of my second generation Pioneer Elite 95FD Blu-ray player.
Summary: Plays about anything you put into it. Remote has a nice layout and functionality but lacks back lighting which is a negative, about the only negative I can find. Very quick load time. Easy setup and lots of flexibility for audio and video output. Love this unit.
Summary: My Denon 2910 player had an untimely and rather painful death. The guy at the audio shop said they were getting some of the Cambridge Universal players in and it would do every format including SACD and Blu-ray. "Sure", said I, "I'll give it a rip" and I'm very glad I did.
