Hi People. First Ablbert is a toss pot. I've dropped my xperia a xouple of times and it has no cracks, he has dropped it many times the clumsy reject. Also the phone is a pain at first but once you get used to it you will enjoy it thoroughly. I can even download loads of software for free from the right website. ppcwarez. Also it has a ati imageon graphics chipset, have a look at xtrakt the game for xperia and htc handsets, it's got near playstation 2 graphics, heaps better then nds or anything current mobiles can do, especially the low resolution nokias. The size is good, other smart phones are bulky and ugly like the g1, it's a heavy phone which I like as it doesn't jump out of my pocket and I can feel it's presence so I know where it is at all times, good thing since it is very expensive. For a while I regretted having the xperia but once I was used to it I realised it was brilliant. I wanted a g1 but realised there was too little software. I got emulators and games of high quality running now.

Do NOT buy the Sony X1 if you are using an Apple mac as there is no connectivity between a Mac and the X1. You MUST have a Windows PC to utilise this phone.

Personally I'm torn, I love my Tilt, but then again the Xperia is a much nicer phone... The Xperia I received was a loaner for review, so it had to go back, but I think if I could have kept it I would be using it instead of my Tilt honestly... Then again, the Tilt/TyTn II does have quite a bit of community support with a whole lot of modifications, programs etc available to it, so really it's a toss up between the two of them.. If my Tilt ever died, then I would go with the Xperia, but as is I wouldn't go and buy the Xperia to replace a fully functioning Tilt...

Chris,

A quick question, I'm also an owner of HTC Tytn II at the moment and am thinking about getting Xperia instead. How do the two phones compare to each other? I would appreciate your comment. Thnx

There isn't a day that I don't regret getting the xperia with my subscibtion.
It's awkward to use. It's a hasstle to set up. the case is cracking. It freezes. It's unreliable. Eats power.
If you havn't got vista synchronizing is a problem.
I'm going back to my nokia 9300i comunicator even thought it doesn't have a camera.
That at least is easy to use and always works.
