With all the types of portable devices out there today that use headphones we’ve got a plethora of choices when it comes to finding decent set of headphones that won’t break our budgets. Today for review I’ve got a very inexpensive set of in ear headphones from Cygnett, called the GrooveAtomic. The first thing you’ll notice about these is the quality of them, they’re made very well, mostly metal in fact, and really considering the price they don’t sound too bad…

Product Name: Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360

Author: Tomas Ratas

Back in the eighties, I was known to play a mean air guitar to some of hair metal’s finest anthems. Luckily for myself and my loved ones, I gave up my budding air guitar career. Until, now….. Harmonix and EA, the makers of the original Rock Band video game, have unleashed their latest version of the rhythm game genre – Rock Band 2. Both the Rock Band and Guitar Hero brands have helped revitalize the rock industry, by introducing a whole new generation to some of rock’s most classic music. Nothing encapsulates the power of these games like seeing your three year old daughter singing Mississippi Queen! As a party game, Rock Band is unheralded and now with the sequel, the fun continues with more songs and better game play!

In fact, these games have become such a force in the music industry, that Metallica released their new album, Death Magnetic, simultaneously on CD and as downloadable/playable tracks for Guitar Hero 3. Rock Band 2 is from the same makers of the first version of the game and features 84 songs on the disc with 20 additional free downloadable songs. In addition, the original Rock Band songs can be imported onto the Xbox 360 hard drive and added to the Rock Band 2 library after paying a small licensing fee of five dollars.
Rock Band 2 can be played solo but is an infinitely more enjoyable experience with a group of friends. The game is sold individually or bundled with new wireless instruments. Older Rock Band and Guitar Hero (some) instruments are compatible with Rock Band 2.

Manufacturer: HeadPlay
Product Name: Headplay Personal Cinema System
Review Date: 09/26/08
Author: Kristofer Brozio

These personal media systems that you wear on your head seem to becoming popular lately, at first I thought they were more gimmick than anything., and for the most part when they first came out they were just a gimmicky thing. With technology evolving though these products have become much more than a passing fancy, they’re actually pretty cool, and work well.
Not long ago I took a look at the Vuzix personal media system, and I found it to be decent but lacking a bit in some areas, today for review though I’ve got the HeadPlay Personal Cinema System and it picks up where the Vuzix leaves off in a couple areas. In my time with the HeadPlay I’ve found it is a much better system all around with some great added features as well.
So continue on to learn more about the HeadPlay Personal Cinema System…

Samsung Rugby Review
I think everyone reading this has a cellphone, and everyone is careful with them as they are a piece of technology that is expensive and yet fragile. Most of us are in contracts with our carriers, and if something happens to our phone before our contract is up, hopefully we’ve got insurance, but if not we’ve got to pay full price for a replacement phone, which is not something most of use want to do. There are few and far between phones that are rugged and made to withstand any amount of abuse, and really you have to wonder why as we as a people are not that careful with our things really, I’ve read countless stories of people destroying their cellphones just by dropping them, let alone water, dust or anything like that getting in them.
Samsung has come along and come out with a phone that is designed and made truly for not only the weekend warrior, but even a real warrior could appreciate. The Samsung SHG-A837 Rugby was announced last week, and it’s a military spec certified phone that truly is rugged and tough, it should be able to withstand most anything thrown at it, literally! So I’ve replaced my trusty AT&T Tilt with the Rugby for a week and I’ve found that it’s great basic phone, but lacks in some areas like pictures and videos, then again picture taking and videos are not the main feature of this phone, the military certification is….

Product Name: IronKey Personal 2 GB Secure Flash Drive
Review Date: 09/24/08

Virtually indestructible? Check!
Self-Destruct Mechanism? Check!
Cool looking? Check!
Sounds like the features of some cool gadget out of a James Bond movie right? Yes, but it’s something you can get right now. Would you believe me if I told you those features listed are for a USB flash drive? I wouldn’t either, but they are!
Up on the review block today I’ve got probably the coolest USB Flash Drive on the market today, at least from a guys point of view anyway! It’s the IronKey, even the name sounds cool, but it’s much more than a great looking flash drive, it’s a portable vault for your data that cannot be accessed by anyone but you with your password. If someone does try to hack the drive it will self-destruct after ten wrong attempts, not literally, but the data will all be erased from the drive. The drive uses hardware based AES 256bit encryption technology, and it’s incased in a virtually indestructible solid metal casing that’s also waterproof and tamper proof so your data is sure to be safe when it’s on the IronKey.
So continue on to check it out further…

Mouse, mice, everyone has one or more of these devices to use with their computers, and as with any piece of hardware, not all are created equal. Mice have become very specialized in their purposes, there used to be a time when a mouse was just a mouse, nothing fancy about it, it was just used to help navigate your computer easier and faster. As time went by of course, they were improved upon, and as gaming became more popular specialized mice just for gaming became available to us gamers.
Of course right now there are many companies out there producing gaming mice, and they all are different in one way or another, which one is the best? I’m not sure really, but today I’ve got one that I consider one of the best. It comes from a company that’s well known for quality made products, NZXT, it’s their first foray into the mousing arena. Is it worth your money? I think so… read on

Manufacturer: Verbatim
Product Name: 160GB FireWire/USB Portable Hard Drive
Review Date: 09/22/08
Author: Kristofer Brozio

Flash drives are nice, but they’re not large enough yet to take huge amounts of data with us, so that’s where portable hard drives come in handy. Of course you can get a large 3.5″ hard drive, but when portability is a factor you’ll want to look at the 2.5″ models as these allow us to take large amounts of data but yet remain lightweight and portable.
Today for review I’ve got the Verbatim 160GB FireWire/USB portable Hard Drive, it allows you to take large amounts of data with you and remain portable at the same time. The enclosure itself is plastic so it’s lightweight, and as the name suggests, it can be used with either USB or FireWire connections. The drive come pre-formatted for the Apple file system, but it can be easily formatted to be used with a PC as well.
So read on to check it out…

Manufacturer: Epson
Product Name: Epson WorkForce 600 All-in-One Printer
Review Date: 09/19/08
Author: Kristofer Brozio
In my time as a reviewer I’ve gotten many products for review and I’ve found that quite bit of them don’t live up to their marketing hype, it’s not that they’re bad products it’s more the expectations are very high with some. The product I’ve got for review today though lives up to and exceeds the hype, it’s an all around great product with virtually no flaws to be found.
On the review block today is the Epson WorkForce 600 All-in-One Printer, and as soon as you open the box you’ll be impressed by this printer. My wife, who normally couldn’t care about the stuff I get for review, was thoroughly impressed by this printer, so that’s saying something right there. Anyway, the WorkForce 600 just looks great, even without powering it on you can just see that this thing means business, but yet look stylish enough to fit in your home. After all, the WorkForce 600 is meant for small and home businesses, so it’s made to be a work horse and that it is. The 600 includes some great features like WiFi capabilities, laser quality printing, fast printing speeds, built-in memory card reader, and even an LCD to preview your pictures and operate the 600 easily.
It’s just an excellent choice if you’re in the market for an all-in-one printer, personally I like these types as then you don’t have to have separate devices for all the things you need to do…

Cellphones have invaded everywhere, pretty much everyone has one from kids to their grandparents, they are by far, the most popular gadget out there today. With the prevalence of cellphones comes numerous accessories and I think the most popular of those are bluetooth headsets, especially when many places have outlawed driving while talking unless you are using a handsfree headset.

Manufacturer: Aluratek
Product Name: USB Internet Radio Jukebox AIRJ01F
Review Date: 09/16/08
Author: Kristofer Brozio
Most days I’m at my computer from the time I get up till I go to bed about 90% of the time, and most of that time I’ve got WinAmp playing listening to music while I’m working, there’s nothing like jamming to some tunes to help make the day go by a bit faster. It’s nice to do this, but I’ve got a limited collection of music and there are times it gets old, so some days I’ll turn the radio on and listen to that, or I’ll just work in silence…
Having the internet offers us access to a whole new library of music, and no I don’t mean downloading it, I mean Internet Radio! Internet Radio is just like terrestrial radio with numerous stations, but only better, you normally don’t have to worry about signals getting lost with the internet. There are probably more internet radio stations than there are over the air so you’ve got tons more to choose from. Another great features is these stations play specific formats, so if you want to listen to all metal, or all classical or all whatever you can easily find a station that fits your listening style.
Today for review I’ve got the USB Internet Radio from Aluratek, this little product allows you to listen to a plethora of internet based radio stations from all around the world quickly and easily. Just plug it in and in a few seconds you’ve got tunes!

Manufacturer: Wicked Lasers
Product Name: Elite Series 125 Plus
Review Date: 09/15/08
Author: Kristofer Brozio
There are products on the market that are mostly considered something of a luxury item that most people would love to own but just can’t see spending the money on. Don’t get me wrong this isn’t a bad thing, these products have a place and some actually can be useful for the right person. Laser pointers are one of these types of products, you can pick up cheap little laser pointers for general use, but they’re just that, cheap, and they won’t last long either usually. If you’ve got a need for a laser pointer then it’s well worth it to invest in one that will last long and is quality made. Most laser pointers are used for presentations and such, but there are more powerful ones used by stargazers to point out stars of constellations, these people need one that is easily visible to everyone they’re speaking to. Lasers are also useful for other types of jobs, like the military, and of course just having some fun with as well.
Wicked Lasers is a popular company that makes some of the best laser pointers around, they’re made well and you can just feel the quality when you hold one in your hand. Laser Pointer though is not the right word for a Wicked Lasers product, this thing is a laser plain and simple, in low light you an easily see the beam coming from it, it’s truly an awe inspiring site to behold.
On the review block today I’ve got the Wicked Lasers Elite Series 125 Plus, it’s a green laser that is just amazing, one of those things that you have to see for yourself to believe. The quality of the Elite Series 125 Plus is excellent, holding it in your hand you can feel the care that went into the design and production of it, looking at it closely you can see it is flawless in it’s creation. In the following review I’ve got a few pictures for you and several videos as well showing the Elite 125 in action, as a bonus Wicked Lasers also sent me a pair of Laser Shades, so I’ll be taking a quick look at those too.
Continue on to check out an awesome and fun gadget…
