Lasted less than 5 hours.

Fiona Wood, Amazon
  • Summary: Bought July 2013 and now needs replacing Jan 2015, just 18 months later. It has solely been used very lightly to blend raw vegetables with hot water to make a purée to which is added chopped raw lamb heart (for part of our lurcher's raw diet), only about 300ml in total. We have found there is now sufficient electrical earth leakage to trip our RCD (Residual Current Device) when this is switched on. Probably used for about 30 seconds, 500 times, so lasted about 4 hours.

Philips customer service were super friendly and helpful

some geezer, Amazon
  • Summary: I'm a shake junky and use this blender daily sometimes more for salad dressings and pasta sauces. two really key things that make this a 5* purchase; 1. The jug is plastic so far less likely to break. (I've had several break on me so far either from minor drops or from putting too hot liquid inside). 2. In shake making the past 4-5 blenders (that ended up breaking as mentioned above), getting all ice cubes to blend into the shake was almost impossible.

Good for Smoothies.

Gibidy, Amazon
8 October 2014
  • Summary: Only really ok as a smoothie maker, doesn't crush ice and doesn't cope well with frozen fruit, also it wont blend chickpeas to make humus and soups stay lumpy.

Brilliant machine for anything with ice

SandyM, Amazon
19 September 2014
  • Summary: Brilliant machine for anything with ice. Does exactly what was expect of it. Only drawback is the handle, it lets water in but you can't get into it which is a shame as it now looks a little tatty because of it. Otherwise, a great choice for smoothies, milkshakes, soup or anything you want to throw in it.

A Nice Blender with extras

Mrs. C. Colbert, Amazon
19 September 2014
  • Summary: I like this blender. It feels good and it looks good, but above all else it does a good job. It works effortlessly. I particularly like how it crushes the ice cubes.I now make really good daquaries. The soups I do aren't bad either. Don't go for a cheap Blender.Go the extra mile and get this one. You will not be disappointed.

Not good for frozen veg

Benzo, Amazon
7 September 2014
  • Summary: Not up to blending up frozen veg so wouldn't buy if you do this like me to make a vegetable smoothie. Fine for softer produce but no good for too many frozen goods as blades break.

Would not buy

inflames, Amazon
1 September 2014
  • Summary: It stinks of burnt plastic and it seems to only blend for 10seconds (when making puréed food) and then as soon as there's an air hole it stops completely and can't get it to work again. It's a nightmare. Worst buy ever. You would expect a blender to blend. This does not. Annoyed beyond belief.

Does its job

Ana Patricia Buzoianu, Amazon
25 August 2014
  • Summary: I really like the blender, it works just fine and it does crush ice however before crushing the ice I 'soak' it a bit in the liquid of the drink meant to be produced. And for an even better outcome, while it's blending the ice, I shake the machine (back and forth) a bit. I thought that the ice might be too strong for the cup, but the cup is really resistant.

Not durable

Katy S, Amazon
21 August 2014
  • Summary: I've had this blender for nearly 3 years and the plastic has warped out of shape. It's at the bottom around the blender so now it leaks every time I use it. There's no way to fix it so sadly it has to be binned. For the price of this blender I would have expected it to last longer. Next time I'll be buying a glass one.
