Summary: The lid is flimsy thin plastic and doesn't fit on properly. The opening at the bottom of the blender glass is the wrong size for the hardware which means that its hard to put the blender on the base AND the liquid spills out of the blender because it doesn't seal. I am shocked at the ridiculously poor quality of this item - it is an "online exclusive" because if you actually saw in before you bought it you would NEVER buy it!
Cons: cheap low quality, parts do not fit together properly, leaks all over
Summary: I laugh at myself every time I use this, because I can't believe how many decades I put off buying a new, modern blender! We make fruit smoothies every morning and have been using a 20-year-old blender for much too long. The Kalorik blender is modern, fun, and simple! It does the job right without all the fancy bells and whistles, and in half the time as our old blender. Great price too!
Summary: Thought the price indicated better quality in material used. Found the connecting part that turns the blades to be made of plastic. Questioned ability to crush ice adequately. Returned to store.
Summary: I bought this blender in hopes that it would outlast my previous blenders. Yes, like all the other reviewers I was attracted to the gorgeous red color, the glass jar, and the strong stainless steel blades. I make smoothies daily, wait *made*, until it started to leak. I thought that perhaps I just didn't tighten the seal enough. Then I noticed a burning smell. I thought maybe I had just pushed it too hard and stopped crushing ice.
Summary: Very nice blender. I had a little trouble when I tried to puree some white beans in it, but it worked. However, it is not a food processor. It has a heavy duty glass container, which I like. Great for liquids or a milkshake. It was easy to take apart and put together the blades and bottom to clean it thoroughly. It is nice looking black and stainless that goes well on the counter if you want to leave it out.
Summary: I bought this unit, like many others, on the recommendation from Cooks Illustrated. It was a fabulous blender for about a year. Then I noticed some juice leaking out the bottom bearing after any blend session more than a minute. Then last week, it stated making some weird noises and about 3 seconds later, it threw itself off my counter in a fit of exaltation.
Summary: This is a sharp-looking blender with its modern, stainless steel base (not sure if it's real stainless but looks it) and genuine glass container. It only has low, high and pulse choices but that's enough choices for us. We primarily make smoothies and shakes in it. Looks great on the countertop and the price is right, especially compared to some of the other brand names I looked at.
Summary: If a simple blender is all you're looking for this one is OK, but the lid is made of chintzy plastic and is hard to get on and off without making a mess. The controls are simple, but do the job for making smoothies or frozen drinks. All in all a decent value. Would probably buy again, since I just need it for simple blending.
Pros: easy to use controls
Cons: lid was made of chintzy plastic and hard to get on
