Not so good for smoothies that contain ice
15 March 2016
Summary: This blender is okay for blending fruit, vegetables etc but if you are interested in making smoothies with ice this isn't the best choice. It does not smoothly blend the ice into the mixture, but mainly just cuts it in bulky pieces.
Summary: I use this blender almost exclusively for green smoothies using kales and chards which are some of the "tougher" greens. I add them first with the liquid and then add frozen or fresh fruits and ice.
Summary: I was looking to replace my old Hamilton Beach blender I purchased at a sale from Montgomery Wards back in 1988. I was very unhappy when it finally gave up and died. I had an Osterizer that had been given to me as a gift waiting for it's chance to work. What a disappointment!
Summary: Well. It blends. Lol but seriously, it's quieter than most blenders. I love the red color & the simplicity of only having a few buttons. I made salsa yesterday & had to squish the tomatoes & chiles down for it to blend, but it worked fine after that.
Summary: I purchased this smoothie maker when my high priced one died after a year. I was impressed with the number of positive review on its ability to maked green smoothies. I just received it and made one immediately. Spinach grapes, cucumber kale, tomato and juice and NO ice.
Summary: This Blender is great! I have used it many times as i usually went to Wendy's at night for a frosty and now i just get my Ice Cream n milk and have the largest milkshake or frosty in the world at less than half the price!!
