Excerpt: Its like strapping a motor to your whisk, actually that is exactly what its like. I love this handheld mixer. It's perfect for soups, sauces and I've used it with cakes and stuff. I love how weightless it is.
Excerpt: I have many blenders but, they are all large and bulky so they take up a lot of counter or storage space so this is really nice it will just fit in a nice small space. I really like the blade housing, The blade sits low so you can blend a small amount so if you're making a small batch or just a meal...
Summary: I bought this unit in January 2014 (6 months ago). The High button stopped working. When I called Hamilton Beach, they said that the warranty only covered the replacement of the unit, but not the shipping and tax which will be about $16.00. I only paid about $17 for the unit.
I'm looking to buy one with a better motor and no plastic

Summary: I bought this for soap making. I bought 2. One for soap and one for kitchen use. The one I use for soap the low speed on the motor is already going out. The plastic shaft is cracking on both. I used #2 to break up cinnamon sticks and the plastic wand on that one started cracking.
Summary: I'm buying this one as a replacement for one that I've had for 12 years now. You're not supposed to put the attachments in the dishwasher. Someone in my household wasn't aware of this and so it got washed causing the plastic to crack and food to get trapped behind the blade with no way to get it...
Summary: Horrible, bought first one, lo/hi buttons quit working in first week, replaced, second one the buttons quit working after 3 months (actually used very little). Can't return, so I am stuck with one not working.
