Summary: Excellent blender. It does exactly what it states. I use this to make smoothies in daily. Easy to clean. Lid fits a bit tight but at least I know it's not going to blow off. I love the easy pour spout. I haven't found anything this blender can't devour. I researched many brands before buying this one. I am quite happy with it. I've had it since before the holidays and it rocks. Great blender for the price.
Summary: Well this great hamilton blender works like a charm it made easy things to chop right away fast and it's in great condition to trying to be very careful with it and it made my smoothie easily.
Summary: I bought this blender back in 2011. I use it mostly for smoothies...which I make 1-2 times a day. It takes a beating grinding up frozen bananas, but hasn't had any problems until recently when I apparently wore the 'ice breaker' button out - so it no longer works. There is another pulse button next to it for grating though and it actually works better, so I am still quite happy with the blender.
Summary: The blender motor burned up after only 3 uses making smoothies. Granted, we were using frozen blueberries, but it should have been able to handle the load. This is the second same model Hamilton Beach blender that we smoked making smoothies with frozen fruit. We finally settled on a Vitamix blender and have had great results with it.
Summary: The blender original came with a cracked cover I called the number provided for part replacement and it was replaced quickly without an issue. Make sure you sign up for the warranty when you first receive. Works very well for blending smoothies. I also use to blend my raw smoothies and then strain with a regular strainer. Something until I am able to afford a Vitamix .....
Summary: In putting the blender back together from the box, it does not sit securly on the base, it rocks a bit back and forth and does not give a feeling of stability. Nothing was broken or cracked to account for this unsteadiness, but compared to an old Oster blender from 30 years ago, it seems flimsy.
Summary: This is acceptable, but don't expect it to handle solidly frozen anything at all. Can't put frozen yogurt, milk, and fruit in it and expect it to handle the load. For highly liquid drinks with a little ice it's fine. I don't know if they make a blender that will handle a heavy load any longer, like our old Oster used to.
