Summary: Okay for the price. I've had other Hamilton Beach items last years and years (also consider they were bought years and years ago). The immersion blender attachment works as intended, I've used it maybe half a dozen times and it does what I want it to - blend stuff. I've blended smooth and I've blended chunky. Only small quantities, though. The whisk attachment also works okay.
Summary: I have used the immersion blender a few times and each time made a huge mess. I have not tried the choppy thingy bowl or the whip-it-good attachments. I found it difficult to use in my largest metal pot. The section of the immersion blender pulls it down to the bottom, then it can't work because it can't pull in enough content to blend. Holding it too close to the surface makes it splatter all over the place...
Summary: This is a great tool for the kitchen! I have a really small kitchen with limited space, so I really liked that I was able to have a blender/food processor/and immersion blender in one! The food processor is fairly small and is good for processing small amounts, but is great for someone cooking for one. I bought this mainly for the immersion blender, which works great, but it's been nice to use the other features as well.
Summary: this is great product for soups, sauces and dips. I have had similiar products in the past and loved them. You can even make milk shakes with it. the whole enchilada in one product. It isn't that expensive for what you get.
