Summary: Product started off ok but barely chops ice now for smoothies. Most of the other buttons are a complete waste of space as they don't even seem to engage the blade. REALLY not happy with this thing. It's not broken, just not powerful enough to do more than mix pancake batter. If you want a product that truly performs, go buy a Ninja system for about $120. Got one for my sons' home and they love it!
This blender is probably the worst appliance Ive purchased in a while

Summary: This blender is probably the worst appliance Ive purchased in a while. The blending power is inadequate and usually I have to chop things before placing them in the blender. I would not recommend this blender.
Summary: I bought one of these over a year ago and have now bought another to use in my weekend home. This blender has features that should be copied by other manufacturers. The heavy glass container is mounted in a wide plastic base that makes it very stable when separated from the motor and placed on a counter. The container will not tip over. The little pouring spout is silly and unusable but, I've always poured from one of the square corners and have never spilled a drop.
Summary: I bought this larger capacity blender for making morning shakes. It burned out in less than a year. Before burning out completely, it would occasionally smoke and put out a bad burning rubber smell. I have had to fall back on my smaller, circa 1995 Hamilton Beach that works perfectly, and can even handle the oversized batches that lead me to buy the Cuisinart larger blender in the first place.
Summary: I have used blenders, many brands, for over 40 years, and this is EASILY the worst blender we have ever used! This over priced blender will NOT blend nearly anything well. We have tried it on smoothies, almond milk, hummus. Virtually everything comes out chunky, no matter how long it's "blended". And the "pour spout" is ridiculous, guaranteeing not to pour virtually anything well, causing spilling everywhere.
