Summary: Second Breville Blender but the first was the cheaper/weaker one. Loud and the blade ass'y didn't hold up long. The BBL600XL was well worth the $$, so smooth & Quiet. Powerful. Both blended really well. The design of the jar & the hemisphere blade ass'y really makes quick work out of blending jobs, even crushing ice. Love it.
Summary: Great Product , I just made my first smoothie and its' really an easy machine to operates. i would recommend anyone to buy one and try it , do not use cheap blender for 30or 60 $ no worth your time and hassle
Summary: I think it is built well, except that it still seems like it is just spinning and not actually blending (not enough liquid?) It seems to have more power than any blender used in the past. I like the ease of cleaning the controls. I do wish it was easier to screw on bottom after disassembly for cleaning. If it is not done exactly right tightness, it will leak.
Summary: This makes my 5th Breville appliance.I love all things Breville BUT NOT THIS BLENDER!!! All of the reviews about this model having a design flaw ARE TRUE. It leaks constantly. I am also disappointed about how much time it takes to blend my morning smoothies. My old 10 year old Oster does a better job even if it is noisier. I wish I had saved my hundred bucks. I thought I was trading up because the motor wattage is twice the power of the Oster but I'm not impressed.
Summary: I use it to make shakes. It never fails even if you tighten w/ the specific black device (to untighten), it always leak. I just ordered a replacement sealing ring to see if that is the problem. we will c! Aside from the leakage, it is very powerful when it doesn't spill.
Summary: The very cool-looking pitcher doesn't funnel the food and liquids efficiently to the blades at the bottom, so much of the powerful motor's energy is wasted. So far I only make smoothies in our Breville IKON. I have to stop the motor frequently and shake the contents down before turning it on again--this several times, at least, before my smoothie is blended. By contrast my $40 Osterizer at another residence is very efficient for smoothies, nut butters, etc...
