Summary: I used a very cheap blender for long time and finally i got tired of not being able to do what i wanted with it i decided to get this Blendtec. Now i can happily say that it was a great idea! It blends really well, it's not as noisy as other blenders, very easy to use and i love it.
Summary: This is my second purchase of the Blendtec. This was for my daughter who is all into health foods and drinks. This blender will take the hardest vegetables and make a smoothly out of it. It is amazing. I like mine. Comes with a great cookbook. Best idea is peel the skin off some lemons, press one button, and make lemonade out of the rest or add ice to make lemon slush. You will never want another blender.
Summary: Granted, I did not purchase a Vitamix (or the less expensive, Ninja) in conjunction with this purchase so I don't have a direct comparison - BUT - I DID do a lot of research that led me to this purchase. Did I spend a boat load of cash (comparatively) on a blender? Sure, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. This blender is one of my favorite tools. OVERALL. It handles anything I throw at it and asks for more.
Summary: After switching to green smoothies for breakfast using a normal blender I was going a bit insane. It should not be a 15 min blend job. I complained to a friend about it (she is a pro-chef) and she took me into the kitchen to show me the difference this thing would make. I asked about this and the Vitamix after browsing all these reviews. Her response rings true after using my grandparents Vitamix, "You can't go wrong either way.
Summary: I looked at several brands of blenders but settled on the Blendtec, not because it was cheaper, but because of its reputation. After reading about it and all the reviews I could find, I bought it. I wanted a blender that could do a variety of things fast and without a lot of hassle. This one does the trick. My father gave me only a few pieces of advance when heading out into the world and one was, “quality might be hard to pay for, but it is easy to live with”.
Summary: I've been using this mainly for fruit but also for alcoholic drinks and it's been fantastic. I bought a few other blenders (Oster, Ninja) that broke after a few uses, this has held up really well for months. I'd been holding off on reviewing this until I knew it would last.
Summary: If its possible to have a close relationship with your blender, I have it with this Blendtec. After having tried the Ninja and my mother's Vitamix, I was looking for something with enough power to really make a creamy green smoothie without taking over my kitchen. The Blendtec tackles everything I've ever given it and is easy to clean and maintain, and takes up only a small portion of my counter top.
