Excerpt: Bought these for my daughters- Costa Rica trip. I have the Zeiss Victory 10x and love them, but they have a hard time holding them, so I thought these would be perfect being lighter. Very disappointed- the lens and build quality is superb, but the eye piece rubber cups are rigid and do not fold back, so the clarity is poor. Returned these and bought Leica Trinovid 10x25 and the girls love those.
Excerpt: I USE THESE GLASSES DAILY ON XCOUNTRY HIKES IN LOCAL PARK WITH LONG, OPEN VISTAS AS WELL AS FORESTED AREAS. LIGHT AND COMPACT (AS ADVERTISED). THE ONLY PROBLEM IS PLACEMENT OF DIOPTER FOCUS AT FRONT OF LEFT LENS. IT IS VERY HARD TO HOLD THE UNIT STEADY AND FOCUS DIOPTER ADJUSTMENT KNOB. OTHERWISE, THESE GLASSES ARE PERFECT FOR MY NEEDS.
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof
Summary: I look at hunting binos as a lifetime investment. There have been times when my Leica Geovids 10x42 are just a bit to heavy to carry around especially when I don't need their rangefinding capabilities. I was reluctant to invest in a pair of compacts because they are just not as comfortable to use as a fullsize bino. I didn't have a place to physically compare the high end compacts, but I took a chance with the 10x25 Victory Compacts after reading the reviews. WOW!
Summary: These Zeiss compacts are really amazing. It is impressive they engineered them this super light weight yet retained great optical quality. The image quality is perfect. They go right in a pack pocket for the same weight as a couple energy bars and a drink of water. Best optics I have owned.
Summary: I've owned several different pairs of binoculars over the past 30+ years. I was always drawn to each one's optical/imaging shortcomings under certain conditions. A pair of full size Swarovskis I purchased a couple of years ago opened my eyes to the wonderful world of high quality optics! Image resolution and color through them are truly exquisite! Man, I gave my old binoculars to my nephews as they suddenly became paperweights.
Excerpt: I use these for everything duck hunting, big game hunting and everything else. the small compact size makes it easy to bring along without even knowing you have them but they are there when you need them. I had the smaller compacts until they were stolen went to the 10X25's and they are a little bigger but still easy to carry along all the time. You can get more power in a larger size but will you have them when you need them?
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
