Summary: This is my first set of mid-range binoculars, having previously owned 'opera' type binoculars. Took these on a trip to Lundy Island. Caught sight of a Kestrel, and was totally blown away by the clarity and detail of the optics. Easy to adjust, comfortable on the eye, and light enough to pack into the daysack or hang around your neck and forget they are there. An excellent product packaged in a good quality carry case. Give your eyes a treat!
Pros: Comfortable Strap, Good Ergonomics, Good value, Hydroguard Coated Optics, Lightweight
Summary: I bought the 10x40 version as a support to my Carl Zeiss that I have used for many decades - aging I wanted larger magnification but modern Zeiss are well ouside my price range as a retired person. My new Vanguard bins give a simular quality, to my eyes, of image to my old porro bins and are confortable to useTo me that reads good purchase. However the case is too small to put the bins in with the very nice strap attached to the Spirit 10x40 bins
Summary: took some getting used to eye-relief set-upEasy once used to it!!Used for wildlife watching, close-up and distant (Bears and whales)Eye covers useful, eye end could do with a detachable attachment to reduce risk of loss.
Pros: Comfortable To Handle, Durable, Great Features, Great Picture Quality, Simple Controls, Versatile
Summary: Perfect Bins for birdwatching especially in low light thanks to the ED glass in the optics. Ideal 1st upgrade for bins - roof design makes them more compact. Lightweight but well constructed - long eye relief so you can use them for a long period of time. Large centre focus wheel with fast focus from near to far. Optics amazing for bins of this price. I liked the comfort strap that can be detached and transferred to the carry case.
Pros: Durable, Great Optics, Large Focus Wheel, Lightweight
