Excerpt: Buying from B&H was easy and they provided prompt shipment. The binoculars are high quality and were as advertised on the B&H site. Very clear, easy to see through. Great for whale watching off the deck.
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof
Excerpt: Long I wanted real binoculars: now I have them. This instrument is well built, a pleasure to use. Living sort- of -in -the- wild of rural Big Island of Hawaii, there are many things to look at: plants, critters etc. They even help me plan what further plantings we will do. I Love Em!
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: I've had these binoculars for a couple of weeks now, and have tried my best to find fault with them. I'm happy to say I've found none. I was somewhat expecting the fast focus on these to be a problem, but I've actually found it to be a benefit. I can use these with or without my glasses on, all looks great either way. The locking diopter adjustment and extendable eyecups are nice, but I do wonder how well they will stand up to time & use.
Pros: Low light performance, Price, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
Good quality, well priced binoculars for hand held birding observations.

Summary: I bought these for bird watching as I wanted something a little more powerful then the usual 8 magnification binos. At 10.5 magnification these are near the limit of what I can comfortably manage in hand held situations. They are easy to carry around, quick to adjust and provide good clarity for all types of viewing - including birds in flight, distant birds and small birds in foliage.
Summary: Having no knowledge about binoculars and too much time on my hands, I spent a month researching and trying before I bought these. It was worth it. The important things for me were.... 1. Size, weight and robustness suitable for travel and hiking. 2. Quality optics inside that package. 3. Cost. Without quoting all the specs, these binoculars ticked all of those boxes.
Excerpt: I bought these for birding. I like the open bridge---I find them easier to hold than other models I've tried, and the focus mechanism is right under my finger, so it is easy to adjust. The image compares very favorably with my partner's high-end Nikons. The lens caps are very handily attached, and hang down out of the way in use. The only con---I have to open them out flat to get them into the case (I must have close-set eyes). Overall, I am very happy with them.
Excerpt: I have been a bird watcher for 40 years. The last pari of binoculars that I owned were given to me as a gift about 30 years ago. They were a cheap pair of Bausch & Lombs. When they finally broke I did extensive searching and came up with these Vanguards. I had no clue that binoculars could be that good - really! I can't compare these to any other brand but I have to say for birding these things are amazing. For the price of these binoculars you really can't go wrong.
