Excerpt: I have many binoculars, from Leica all the way down. As my eyes get older, I have also learned the truth of the frequent advice about the wisdom of keeping the magnification down to 7 or 8. I have never been disappointed by Pentax optics, in binoculars or cameras. These are a delight.
Excerpt: I'm very pleased! These binocs are light, fold up to fit in your hand or in handlebar pouch on my scooter : -) Clarity, resolution & ease of focus are excellent, as is light gathering ability. Pentax knows optics & these binocs are awwww-some.
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: Great optics, and I'm happy with my purchase but these binoculars have a couple of minor bugs. First, I bought them for their long eye relief and they work good with my glasses. However, the description says the eye rings are adjustable with "four click stops". The eye rings have two stops - full down and full up. These are the only two clicks. Second, if you are using the neckstrap it attaches to the frame in a way such that the binoculars hang at an weird angle.
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: I am really impressed with the quality of these binoculars. They are very sharp, provide a decent wide angle of view, and they are incredibly bright -- the brightest of any binoculars I've ever seen. The design is simple and minimalist, which especially appealed to me when I ordered them. As with their cameras, Pentax has designed these to be an ergonomic delight -- they just feel like a natural extension of my eyes, and they fit in my hands like a pair of gloves.
Excerpt: I use the binoculars for birding, as they are light and easy to carry around whenever outside, and can be held in a coat pocket. Optics appear bright and clear, and the focusing knob turns smoothly and its easy to focus. Dusk and dawn viewing gets limited, but only very early in morning and later in the dusk. Workmanship is very good. Amazing value for the price.
Pros: Bright Clear Optics, Fold Into Small Package, Good Craftmanship, Lightweight
Excerpt: I received an 8x25 Pentax DCF today, 24 hours after placing my order with Eagle Optics. Wow! These are very impressive for a compact binocular. What I received really did startle me. Clear, bright, images which are sharp edge to edge; no noticeable curvature of field; perfect eye relief for eyeglass wearers; a http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifbinocular which will easily fit in my pant or jacket pocket.
Excerpt: So user friendly and easy to use...we have sweeping Hudson and manhattan views...and love to grab our Pentax binoculars and sweep over the Hudson...they are fantastic, lightweight, and very powerful.
Pros: Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I'm a birder, so these are the smallest binoculars I've ever bought , and my expectations were low as a result. I was pleasantly surprised at their optical quality, so I think they are a great choice if you need ones that are small and light, as they are an excellent value.
