Very useful for African safari. Great quality and value.

Summary: We bought these binoculars to use on an African safari. What a fantastic purchase! They are lightweight, easy to use, and worked perfectly for the trip. We were able to spot and focus in on animals and the ease of adjustment made it possible for the two of us to share the one pair of binoculars, when needed. Priced just right for us, too. Could not have been happier with the ease of use, the quality and the value of these binoculars.
Excerpt: Fantastic example of money for value product. They have been great for whale and bird watching of the coast. The light weight smaller construction of the Pentax DCF BC 9x32 binoculars is a big plus when using them over a reasonable length of time without any form of support. The view is picture sharp with excellent natural colour and brightness. The second pair I purchased has gone on to our house boat and looking forward to using them this summer and for many more.
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
Summary: Saw these at a local birding shop. Great lightweight binoculars for birding. Bright colors, easy to focus. Only downside is that Pentax skimped on the extras-- the eyepiece covers and strap are not so great. But the binoculars themselves are fantastic. Much cheaper at Overstock!
Summary: They arrived within 48 hrs of ordering, superb. Although not the most expensive binoculars these are by far the best I have owned. Excellent quality of build and the ergonomics allow ease of use with one hand if required. Being water and fog proof just adds to the spec. The optics are superb for this price of binocular and adjustment smooth and faultless.
Summary: I bought these binoculars to replace an old pair of Leica 10x32 Trinovids, and they are excellent - especially for the price. I was finding it a little difficult to keep the image through the 10x Leicas steady enough, but didn't want to go down to 8X for - mostly - birdwatching. 9x magnification seems to bridge the gap well: you don't notice the drop in magnification too much but you get a less shaky image. This Pentax model is very well designed.
