  • Excerpt: Great bargain! I have always liked Pentax optics and decided to buy a pair of this Pentax PCF WP II 20x60 Binocular last year when money was tight but I needed some high-power glass for a mule deer hunt. I was very pleasantly surprised!

Pentax 20x60mm PCF WP

Piotrek, opticsplanet.com
25 August 2013
  • Summary: This one has good perfomnace in optics, but in low light conditions doesn't have enough light transition so can be recommended genereally for use in the day time. Abit heavy for longer views in hands, so tripod will be a good help here

Pentax 20X60 PCF WP II Binoculars

Carlos M., Newegg
8 December 2012
  • Summary: Nice job Pentax. Thanks.
  • Pros: The image is large, something important in high magnification optics. The image is crisp, resolution is high and contrast is very good. Shadow detail holds up even in deep shade and poor light. Eye cups are durable and function properly. A very well made binoculars, very high quality construction.
  • Cons: Heavy, for a steady-handed, after 30min you have to take a break, will be difficult to use for extended amounts of time, for some people. You will need a stable tripod.

  • Summary: These are a very rugged, waterproof, high quality astronomy binocular. They are extremely well made. Everything on them is solid and works smoothly. Perfectly collimated. Lots of contrast and very sharp. For the money, I think these are a steal.
  • Pros: rugged, sharp center to edge, light for their size
  • Cons: Narrow 2.2 degree FOV (minor con)

User Review

rikibird, Walmart
11 November 2011
  • Summary: Binoculars failed to focus correctly (double vision) on the second day of my deer hunt. My suspicion is they failed during my ATV ride to the hunt site. Binoculars are not robust enough for hunting situations.

My sample was poor

Patricko, Adorama
4 September 2011
  • Excerpt: I purchased them to use for astronomy only and they were to be used mounted. A rather strange optical artifact is seen in both barrels when looking at stars or Jupiter in the night sky. I've never seen it in any other binocular that I've used.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
  • Cons: Difficult To Focus
