Excerpt: I live in Australia and bought this binocular for astronomy. Optics are incredibly sharp - surprising in such a great value package. Field of view is fine for my intended use and the image is very sharp with no noticeable fall off or blurring even at the edge of the lens. B & H service is second to none - I received the order within 5 days. I would highly recommend these to anyone starting out in astronomy.
Pros: Close Focus, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
Summary: In my opinion this is the best binoculars in the ratio of price - quality. Assembly and adjustment at a high enough level. All surfaces have a high-quality illumination. Binoculars completed cloth carrying case, strap made of synthetic material and covers lenses and eyepieces. The only drawback I noticed - the eyepiece cover slightly wider than necessary and constantly falls off. I think this is a flaw of the Chinese manufacturer.
Excerpt: I LIVE PART TIME IN RURAL NORTHERN CANADA & PART TIME IN VERMONT.I OWN A 20X60 IN THIS SERIES,ALSO. PENTAX OPTICS HAVE NEVER FAILED ME IN CAMERAS OR BINOCULARS!I BOUGHT ALL MY PENTAX ITEMS FROM B & H PHOTO & GOT EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED EVERY TIME.I WOULD RECOMEND BOTH THE STORE & PENTAX TO MY FRIENDS & ANYONE ELSE THAT WANTS A GOOD SQUARE DEAL!
Pros: Close Focus, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Very Good Contrast, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: I like the build quality. The optics aren't as good as I had been led to believe they would be, but good for the price. The one thing I do not like is the twist out eye cups. They are so bulky that they pinch my nose at all times. So although the eye to eye distance is rated down to 58mm, in practice you cannot go as narrow as this as the eye cups dig into your nose well before then.
Excerpt: Though some might find this information useful, I recently ordered the Pentax 12x50mm PCF WP II and have had it out the last few nights using it with my 11x56mm Gemini binoculars that I've used for the last few years. Here are my quick impressions and notes: I did some comparisons between the 11x56mm Gemini and the 12x50 PCF WP II Pentax on the night sky. In short, I could see the same faintest stars in each binocular mounted.
