Excerpt: The overall ergonomics are fantastic. Easy to grip and easy to adjust the eyecups to brace the binos up against your face and the diopter adjustment for the right eyepiece even locks after adjusting it. These are the lightest binos of their type and quality by nearly half a pound. Image quality is excellent from edge to edge with no fringing at all. The only thing I do not like about them is the case that Pentax provides.
Pros: Adjusts For Eyeglass Use, Easy to Use, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Lightweight, Optical quality, Small / Compact, Weathersealing
Summary: I used these Pentax binoculars for bird watching, nature observation and stargazing. Optically, they were excellent...very bright and clear with precise focusing. These Pentax binoculars are packed with features and are extremely well made. The fit and finish of these binoculars are outstanding. Unfortunately, after a few months I decided to sell them because, although the focusing was precise, the focusing was too stiff and slow for me.
Excerpt: As others have noted these are great binoculars. I wear glasses and they have fine releaf. I have owned them now for 6 years and used them heavily, they are always in my car they have travled around the world with me, rain or shine. When I first got them my lift-list of birds exploded as I could now clearly ID many birds that my 8X 40s missed.
Pros: DURABLE, Easy to Use, Good eye relief, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution
Excerpt: Bought these for wildlife viewing / water proof and fog proof - really love the rubberised exterior. Nice flat field of vision / fast to focus and I really like the built in eye cups that extend or compress. Overall unit is much smaller than I expected - a nice bonus. Really great value / I did a bit of comparison shopping before landing on these ...
Excerpt: I purchased these binoculars for bird watching. They are very light weight and the optical quality is great. I'm having a little trouble adjusting them for my eye spacing - hoping this will resolve itself as I become more familiar with them.
Pros: Close Focus, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: I use these almost exclusively for birdwatching and they are the best pair of binoculars I've ever owned and I've owned many. The price point on Pentax's line of optics is an amazing deal. These are as clear and bright as many other pair that are up to $1,000 more in price. My priorities of close focus, light-weight, and water/fog proof are pretty standard these days, so it came down to the overall feel and ease. I couldn't be happier. [...

Excerpt: i'm recently get interested in birding. and this is my first binocular. i chose pentax because the pentax binoculars have a very good profile and comparatively lower prices. judging from my recent experiences with this bino, i would say it provides fairly good optical performance and yet the price is much lower than those german ones.
