Summary: I bought the green model of these, but except for the color they are the same. Thus, after seeing so many five-star reviews, I feel a bit of warning is appropriate. I had bought mine mainly because they can be folded up well, and thus can be used by kids with narrow space between their eyes. However, if that is not a requirement, one is way better served with an Opticron Trailfinder 3WP, also 8x25. That model is lighter, and it has a much closer minimum focus.
Summary: Delighted with these binoculars. They are replacing a similar pair that I have had for years and had got quite a battering over the years. They are a comfortable size for me. I use them, mostly, when I go to rugby matches.
Superb for sports and wildlife. Excellent quality for the price.

Summary: I have been looking for my first pair of Binoculars for a while now, for use at the Olympics this year and for a trip to Canada next year. After much research on the net i thought a pair of Nikon Action VII 8x40 CF's would be suitable, although i had some concern about the weight and size.
Summary: Being a keen 'birder' for over 45 years, I have used many pairs of binoculars, some costing £00s. These are equal to the best I have ever used. For the price, they are truly astounding value with the addition advantage that they are very sturdy a will easily fit into a large coat pocket
Summary: I recieved a pair of these free when I joined the BTO last autumn. They are very compact, light and excellent for carrying around on the walks, on the hill etc when a larger heavier pair might get left at home. Clear crisp image. If you are looking for a cheap but good quality pair of compact bins than these are well worth considering.
Summary: I'm really pleased with these binoculars. The retracting eye pieces are a great idea. The image is very clear and sharp. Can't fault them and great value for money. Just shows that you don't have to pay a fortune for a really good pair of compact binoculars.
