I now believe it would have been a better choice - image brightness is more important than magnification ...

Summary: Light and compact to carry. Focusing wheel a bit stiff - hoping this will improve with use. Image is a bit brighter than similar spec, older compacts I have used from other manufacturers. I understand the next model up has a larger diameter objective and although significantly more expensive, I now believe it would have been a better choice - image brightness is more important than magnification especially when bird watching.
Summary: I work shifts on the short sea trade and like to carry my own binoculars which need to be lightweight and fit in my pocket. These are therefore ideal. I hadn't originally planned to order the "pearl white" but since the normal silver was out of stock it didn't matter. Since using them the pearl white has actually proven to be very useful since it makes them easy to find if I put them down on the dark ship's bridge.
Summary: Bought five pairs for observing birds with school children. Bought along with a few camlink binoculars of the same magnification. The difference in quality is obvious. The specific Olympus binoculars are lightweight and sturdy. The image is excellent. Certainly recommended.
Summary: Bought these for my wife for Christmas for bird watching, and they are very poor quality. The eye pieces are very loose and won't stay extended and the focussing knob is so stiff that it's hard to maintain the right separation between the eye pieces as you focus. They also don't provide a very sharp focus. Would be OK in a Christmas cracker but you can get much better quality for a few pounds more.
