Summary: I found this company through ebay. Easy to deal with. Arrived from Germany quickly to replace a much loved damaged pair of the same type. Olympus Europe offered me a discount on a new pair directly from them but this company was 15% less! I would definately use this company again. As for the binos, you'll be hard pressed to get a better pair.
Summary: The Olympus Binoculars will replace a pair of 20 year old, well worn Miranda 10x50 binoculars. I deliberated for days between the Olympus or a pair of nitrogen filled Nikon Action EX 12x50 CF binoculars; finally choosing the Olympus because they mentioned BaK4 prisms in the specification while the Nikon pair did not. Another factor for me was the close focus distance. Olympus quote 6m and Nikon quote 7m.
Summary: I would not give these bins a one star, double vision, and my old Carl Zeiss Jena 7x50 work these didn't. How they got through various stages of inspection I find difficult to understand. I expect this could be a one off.
Summary: These do exactly what I hoped. I have a smaller pair for the garden but these are brilliant for distance. We live in an area where Buzzards and Red Kites live. I have seen some critism of the "soft bag" but disagree. I think it is far better than a box, and Ok the lense caps do tend to come off but .... Further comment. Now August 17th. Took these binoculars on holiday and actually found the "soft bag" a benefit!
Summary: Done a lot of research before choosing these binoculars. I use them for general viewing, wildlife , astronomy, ideal for me. Optics are excellent, really nice feel in your hand, can't fault them.
