  • Summary: I have made the mistake in the past of buying cheap on optics, NO MORE! Got these Monarch 7 binoculars for myself for a present and wish I had years earlier. Great clarity and images.....got the 10x for a great field of view also. Just used them for deer season, can't wait for turkey season.

  • Excerpt: Love my new Monarch 7s. At first I was not as happy, and I had to lern to view them with a wdier angle of view than I am used to and to use a greater separation between barrels than my previous pair of older Monarchs.
  • Pros: Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Wide Angle, Works Well With Glasses
  • Cons: Difficult To Focus, Heavy

  • Excerpt: I've just received the binoculars, and so far they're great. Haven't gotten into the field yet, but they are extremely clear and have a wide field of view. I'm a novice at birdwatching, but these are certainly going to help.

Great Glass

Hoit, Cabela's
16 September 2014
  • Summary: Incredibly clear glass!!! Nice adjusting features and case. Bought these on sale at Cabela's mostly because the Monarch 7's are designed in a smaller package than most brands of equal price....much easier to fit in the pack and handle in the field. Optics are a '5' rating.

  • Summary: My son and I purchased the Monarch 7 Binoculars for our annual Deer hunt. We worked with Steve M. at the LaVista Cabela's and he was VERY helpful. He showed up several Binoculars that were in our price range.

  • Excerpt: After years if lesser binoculars and not really seeing a difference I found myself in need of a new pair. Research on line and comparison at a local big box lead me to the Nikon Monarch 7s . WOW!!

Clear and lightweight

28 February 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this to view wildlife on safari, alongside photography. Clarity is as good as the Nikon 300mm F2.8 VRII lens. The binoculars are built in a robust fashion. One star removed because the front lens covers do not fit well, and keep coming off - I am contemplating removing them completely.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof

Excellent, except...

Mr. Bill, Adorama
7 January 2014
  • Excerpt: These binoculars have outstanding light transmission, color rendition and clarity (resolution). The build quality is excellent, and they are light enough to carry around all day. My only real problem with them, and the reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is the noticeable chromatic aberration along...
  • Pros: Compact, Excellent Build Quality, Lightweight, Outstanding Resolution, Quality Lenses, Waterproof
  • Cons: Chromatic Aberration
