Great field of view

Jimbird, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: These binos have a wider field of view than my monarch 5's which makes it easier to follow and find birds. They are great, very clear and bright. The warranty is lifetime if you buy them from b and h photo.
  • Pros: Close Focus, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof

  • Excerpt: I'm no professional photographer but I wanted to get some good wildlife pictures in Yellowstone NP in September 2015. I bought a pair of Nikon Monarch 7 8X42 Binoculars, the Carson Hookupz and a Nikon BINOC-U-MOUNT to hold the binoculars steady on my tripod.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses

  • Excerpt: My 30-year-old Swift Audubon binoculars could no longer be repaired, so something new was needed. I reviewed several articles and decided to try the 8x42 Nikon Monarch 7. It took a few days to get used to the roof prism feel and position of the focusing ring, but now I love these binoculars.

Just the Right Size

astro Bill, B&H Photo
8 September 2015
  • Excerpt: I have several binoculars ranging from quite small 7X21 to 11X80 I used for astronomy and my old standby 10X50's. What they were all missing was a wide field of view. I have several telescopes and enjoy the newer wide field eyepieces and sharp optics.
  • Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof

excellent binoculars in its price range

Robert, B&H Photo
8 June 2015
  • Excerpt: We purchased these binoculars as beginning birders and for general use. We have 2 8X20's but the field is much smaller in each. I compared these directly with more expensive Zeiss and Leica binoculars both of which are heavier and provide only marginally improved images.
  • Pros: Close Focus, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses

Good As Promised

jamorg, B&H Photo
2 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I use the binoculars daily for wildlife viewing. The optics are very clear and the field of view is great. Performance in low light is very good. It is easy to find and hold birds, even as they move quickly through trees and shrubs. I wear glasses and have found the extensions very helpful.
