Excerpt: The Nikon Monarch 3 8 x 42 binoculars were recommended to me by a birder. Cornell's Ornithology Lab concurred on the Monarchs, in general, so I decided, to get a pair. A friend suggested the 10 x 42 binocs for greater magnification with the tradeoff being that it is a bit harder to spot your target at the higher magnification. I have pretty steady hands and, as such, I am glad I opted for the greater magnification. These binoculars are made very, very well.
Summary: We are amateur bird watchers and have been using a binocular that is old but fairly sufficient. We have researched for the right binocular and found what we need. The clarity is amazing and the ability of this binocular to allow you to view your objects at the low light of sunrise and sunset is fantastic. We are absolutely thrilled!
Summary: The Nikon binos are clear, lightweight and easy to focus. They are perfect for my use during moose, deer and raw deer hunting. The climate where I hunt is wet and cold and they function well also with gloves on. It is the best pair of binos I have used.
