Great Value Binoculars

Jesse the outdoorsman, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I'm an avid outdoorsman and these Nikon glasses are a perfect companion. I love the fact that these binos are waterproof and have a durable exterior. I don't have to worry about occasional bumps, drops or foul weather. The lens caps aren't amazing, but at the price, this is the best glass you'll get.
  • Pros: Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof

Perfect for Birding

Dr. J, B&H Photo
21 September 2014
  • Excerpt: The Nikon Monarch 3 8 x 42 binoculars were recommended to me by a birder. Cornell's Ornithology Lab concurred on the Monarchs, in general, so I decided, to get a pair. A friend suggested the 10 x 42 binocs for greater magnification with the tradeoff being that it is a bit harder to spot your target at the higher magnification. I have pretty steady hands and, as such, I am glad I opted for the greater magnification. These binoculars are made very, very well.
  • Pros: Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof
  • Cons: Quirky Eyepiece Cover

  • Summary: Best binocs I've ever owned.. I know the M5's might be better for night viewing but you will not be disappointed with these. The price was 60% of local retail and they were perfect.

Great binoculars

Nikon newbie, reviews.nikonsportoptics.com
2 March 2014
  • Summary: We are amateur bird watchers and have been using a binocular that is old but fairly sufficient. We have researched for the right binocular and found what we need. The clarity is amazing and the ability of this binocular to allow you to view your objects at the low light of sunrise and sunset is fantastic. We are absolutely thrilled!

Lense caps are poor design

Romy, reviews.nikonsportoptics.com
29 December 2013
  • Summary: Great optics for the price however the lens caps are junk. Lost one in deer stand and searched for a half hour to find. Adjustable eye caps would not adjust/got stuck when below freezing.
