Summary: I actually was not the first purchaser of these optics; my dad bought them as a throw around pair to keep in the truck and never saw much use. I was fairly impressed with the clarity and ease of use, but I was not happy with their tendency to fog up. Living in south Florida, hunting the swamps in Big Cypress in any humidity I ran into this problem.
Summary: I first bought the Vanguard Orros for my daughter and neither of us could get them to focus correctly or get very clear. I ended up sending them back and getting the Nikon instead. I originally was going to get the Nikon but thought I would try something new. Wrong. Stick with what you know works. Cabela's took the Vanguards back and sent out the Nikons. These are great. I am thinking of ordering a second pair just to leave in the truck.
Summary: I needed a small light weight binocular for archery, but didn't want to spend a fortune. I wanted them to hold their focus pretty good while hanging around my neck, in a tree stand. These fit the bill, for an awesome price!
Summary: Have been looking at the Nikon and Olympus range of light eight binoculars for a while. Plumped for these for general squinting at stuff at sea and for putting in ruck sack on walks etc. Good build quality, easy sharp focus, rubber eye cups really help. Only one slight down side, the build quality seems to push up the weight and they make a bit of a weighty lump in your bag.
Summary: Very pleased with the binoculars. We were on hols overlooking the sea when we bought them and the vision is excellent compared with our old ones. Easy and light to carry as well. Would recommend.
