Maximum magnifying power is 12 not 16

AG, B&H Photo
7 November 2015
  • Excerpt: I purchased a Monarch 5 12x42 from B&H which works great, but I needed more magnifying power to see more details on birds. So I thought I give the Aculon a shot. I didn't expect it to be brighter (it has a smaller exit pupil) or clearer than the monarch, but definitely expected it to have more...
  • Cons: Bulky, Not Waterproof

  • Excerpt: You don't have to break the bank to buy these binoculars. Besides this they are quite effective in spotting the target a long distance away. Using them, I was able to see roughly 100 yards away.
  • Pros: Close Focus, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses

Aculon 16x50

Prince of Cats, B&H Photo
16 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I wanted something with more power that wouldn't break the bank - these 16x50's fill the bill nicely - they are crisp , clear and easy to focus. They are not easy to hold steady offhand , but with effort it is possible.
  • Pros: Easily focused, Excellent value, Powerful, Quality Lenses
  • Cons: Hard To Use Offhand, Tripod needed

20 March 2015
  • Excerpt: Can you say "Superman"? Now I can, with these far reaching binoculars! What a treat to see things so close-up, with an excellent sharpness in the center field of view, as I have discovered, with all the Aculons I have tried so far.
  • Pros: Best Value For Money, Quality Lenses, Super Easy Focus Wheel
  • Cons: Bulky, Not Waterproof

Love these Binoculars

2 March 2015
  • Excerpt: Started my interest in stargazing with a telescope (too cumbersome), then a higher power pair of binoculars (too zoomy!) and have come to love these. They are sharp and easy to focus and not too large. BIG thanks to B&H for helping me finally find the proper fit for me! I'll have these a long time.
  • Pros: Compact, Quality Lenses, Sharpness, Strong Construction

Good product at a fair price

MT shooter, B&H Photo
28 January 2015
  • Excerpt: I use these for wildlife spotting, and coming from a 10X pair to the 16X pair is definitely something I should have done YEARS ago! My only complaint is the cheap caps that are included with them, they are pretty much worthless and are what prevents me from giving these binoculars a higher rating.
  • Pros: Clean Clear Optics, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof
  • Cons: Bulky, Cheap Lens Caps
