Summary: My daughter gave me the Aculon A211 binoculars as a gift and I would be lost without them now. I keep them in the alcove of my kitchen so I can watch the wildlife at my bird feeders and the silly antics of the squirrels. They are fantastic on my bird walks allowing me to identify birds more quickly as well as their activities. I love my Aculon binos.
Summary: For the price these Aculons are impossible to beat. They are not waterproof but I doubt I'll need them for astronomy in the rain anyway! Visually these Nikons are very crisp and bright and a huge step up from department store varieties. Well done Nikon!
Summary: I just got these binoculars and am having some difficulty turning the diopter ring. At first it wouldn't move at all, but with some persistence and using two hands (4 fingers) I was able to get it to move. I guarantee you my grip is stronger than most. I have been working it back and forth for several minutes and it seems to be getting easier, but still far from easy. Hate to go through the hassle of returning it, but had much higher expectations of Nikon quality.
Summary: I didn't know what I was getting for such a low price, but I have to say that these are Awesome. I am so glad I purchased these. I am amazed at the clairity of this item. I love them and I know you will too.
Summary: Quality imaging for a wide range of uses; bird spotting particularly good. Only niggle is about the method of attaching the lens covers to the 'neck band' when the Binoculars are in use; the large covers drop off too easily. Have had the binoculars for 6 weeks and carry them with me wherever I travel. Have had a good quality pair for 40 years and just amazed at the increased quality of the Nikon 10x50 User would benefit from using a tripod in certain circumstances.
