Summary: Quality of optics up to expected standard from Nikon & to get them for £90 means they were a bargain. Slight limitation on close focus but birds are close enough you don't need binoculars. For distance work extra magnification helps with small loss of light as a compromise.
Summary: Having used a scope for planespotting for the 20 years, I thought I would revert to binoculars. A friend had a pair which I had tried. A fantastic offer through Amazon (less than half price), so I purchased a pair. Certainly not disappointed, very sharp images, light, easy to carry and very smooth, easy to use, zoom action. A great buy!
Summary: I've purchased several pairs of binoculars and these are without doubt my best purchase to date. I love binoculars and these as you might expect from Nikon are of very high quality. I personally always rate a pair of binoculars by simply how much I use them and how much if you have more than one pair do you always reach for. These are always my first choice. I have more powerful binoculars but don't be fooled into thinking that higher magnification will be best.
Summary: Following some of the previous reviews I was a little unsure about purchasing these binoculars. Having now used them I can only praise them, I believe some people were under the impression they were buying the Hubble Space telescope for less than a hundred pounds. I found the Nikon image quality first class, bright and sharp, as you might expect.
