Summary: I really wanted to own the Zeiss conquest. Tried them but there wasn't enough eye relief for the non glasses user. Such a shame from an established maker. I now have the German made Minox Hg 8x43. The same Schott glass used for Zeiss. 21 multi coating to each lens.
Summary: The optical performance is outstanding, and the light weight make them a pleasure to use. I purchased them for my wife,who really likes them, and at times I use them in preference to my Leica.
Summary: I spent an age reviewing quality mid to higher end binoculars for bird-watching, being tempted by the top end Leica, Swarovski, Zeiss etc. I finally settled on the Minox HG 8 x43 as the best compromise between weight, optical qualities,and price. I wear glasses and the eye relief is excellent.
Summary: So far these bins have done what it said on the tin.I,m no expert on bins, so I reviewed on line, as it would be impossible to see all the range of bins available in one shop,or for that matter many shops.I then went for the best as recommended.
Summary: Previously had a pair of Opticron 8x32 these were very good and easy to carry, however these Minox are superb, the only drawback is that when compared to the opticron these are much larger so you need to bear that in mind if you order the Minox.
